This is really part two to yesterday's blog about inserting pictures and being able to make your text have space between it and the picture.

You might think of this as how to control your pictures once you insert them.  Barbara Duncan commented with the following...

"I still have trouble fitting the words around the pictures.  You glossed over it with a simple (You can then move it left, right or to the center using the settings on the Entry tab of your blog.)"

So in the words of Inigo Montoya, in The Princess Bride "...there is too much. Let me sum up."  (Just kidding!)

Okay, let's assume you know how to insert a picture into your blog text.  If not, go back and read yesterday's blog, "How to get your text away from your pictures in AR Blogs."

Let's assume also that you have put your Horizontal and Vertical border settings in before uploading your picture.  What you should have is your blog with a picture located somewhere in it.  If you can't find the picture look at the bottom of your text.

Here's a screen shot of the picture I uploaded yesterday for Speechless Sunday.  You can see that it popped into my blog below my text and right up against it.  This is even after I set my Horizontal and Vertical settings to 3 each.  Also, I adjusted my dimension setting to 300.  Dimension is the SIZE your picture will be.

Now, here's how to get the picture centered, left or right...or somewhere else in your blog.  First, click on the picture with your mouse.  Squares will appear all around the picture.  These are called handles.

Test Picture Handles

With the handles visible, move your mouse up to the LEFT, RIGHT OR CENTER selections on your blog menu and click on one of them.  These are the picture icons with lines.  Your picture will move to the one you click.  Here you can see, I have centered my picture.  Notice also that the horizontal setting is now working.  The picture is somewhat below my text.  The vertical setting is not needed because the picture is centered in the text.

Now, let's move the picture higher up into the text.  Once again, click on the picture so that the handles are showing.  Then left click your mouse on top of the picture and pull it up into the text to wherever you want it to be.  Now my picture is centered, but higher up in my blog.

Now, I'll move the picture to the left by simply clicking on the LEFT icon button on the menu.  Check out what happens!  Now the text is sitting nicely away from my picture and the picture looks great within my blog!  To move it to the right, just click on the right alignment icon!  The same with centering.

Okay, there you go folks.  Hopefully, this is a more complete explanation of this part of using pictures and moving them around within the text.  As always, let me know if something is as clear as mud and I'll try to explain further!

Bob -- I have bookmarked this very informative and helpful blog.  I am familiar with the little squares but had no idea they were called "handles".  Thanks for the vocabulary lesson.
