  For those of you who have been following my saga about The Purple Truck and the new-New Hampshire Legend

       TODAY I FOUND THE PURPLE TRUCK ******

  Purple Truck Meet Sam Cooper

  This is Sam Cooper of Sam Cooper and Son Paving located in Bow, NH. Sam and his family have owned and operated a family paving business in the Concord, NH area for over 50 years. They deal primarily in home driveway installations and sealing but also take on Commercial projects.

  The day I first saw the truck, there was no advertising on it. It was new and hadn't had the Company logo painted on yet!

 Sam had made a trip to New Jersey looking for a truck. While there he saw a Purple one. He liked it so much he decided to "go purple" himself. He wanted to attract attention! Well he certainly did!

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
  As usual I was headed in the wrong direction this AM when I spotted Sam's truck. Actually I was late to meet a ride to Manchester! But while I was scanning the sides of the road (I really have been looking) I saw it...I saw it! I grabbed my cell phone and SCREAMED to my husband to GET THE CAMERA. I told him where the truck was and as you can see he was kind enough to head right down.
So mystery solved!... And even though that's what I wanted...it makes me kind of sad. I'm going to miss looking for that Purple Truck!
I have been alerting all my friends and colleagues to keep their eyes open for the purple truck!  I can't believe you found it.  Even more so, I can't believe your husband ran out with his camera to capture the moment!  I am glad I don't have to keep an eye out for the truck this weekend -- I am off to the Ribfest and to see the Clydesdales in merrimack.
So Joan you mean you did not get to use all of those detective/spying techniques we commented about?
Well, I am glad you found your truck safely and while looking for the past few weeks did not crash.
Now off to the next quest. What shall it be?!!!!!
Joan - Congratulations!  Nothing like a little Yankee Determination to solve a puzzle!
And Bow is such a pretty little town.  I sure miss that area.  Sigh....
Joan - currently I am a proud resident of Toledo, Ohio.  But I was born in Cambridge, MA and grew up in Boston.  Grandparents had a farm up in Jefferson Meadows/Twin Mountain and we always went trekking around the state every summer.  We had friends/pseudo relatives in Franklin and Tilton, and some old family friends over in Rumney.  It's a wonderful area, but has gotten so expensive in comparison to where I am now.  We went back to visit about 3 years ago and so much had changed.  I kept getting lost when I left Lowell and went into Nashua.  It was almost embarrassing.
Carol...nice to meet you! I'm only 1/2 hour from Franklin and Tilton and our best friends live in Cambridge (near the Science Museum)
Nice to meet you, too!  Maybe if I can get back up there next spring I will have to call you and have coffee!  That would be a hoot!
In Merrimack there used to be a little restaurant on the main drag that had a black silhouette of a horse and buggy as their 'shingle' outside.  I can't remember the name of the place though.  Do you know which place I'm talking about?
And there was a wonderful restaurant heading up the mountain in Campton called the Scandinavi Inn.  They had the absolute best Shorehouse Casserole I've ever had!
I'm getting 'homesick' now!  LOL
I don't get down to Merrimack . I'll have to ask someone who knows that area! We usually head up Campton way at least once a year so will have tocheck that place out.
Just mark the 2 NH groups and you'll get lots to fill the homesick space!
