While showing homes this weekend in Westhaven Franklin TN, I met a very nice homeowner, John Dirlam. He and his wife, Patricia, have lived in Westhaven since 2005. As a matter of fact, they like the area so much that they purchased a second home there.
John and Patricia moved here because of the Westhaven experience. The community successfully promotes the "good neighbor design". Southern Land, the developer of Westhaven, believes that people should be able to live where they live. What that means is that the area should be so beautiful and offer so many amenities that home owners don't have to go beyond their own neighborhood to find relaxation and recreation.
Westhaven Franklin TN offers several amenities including a 15,000 square foot residents clubhouse, a resort style pool, parks, walking trails, two tennis courts and the Westhaven Golf Club. The community also employs a full-time activities coordinator. They offer programs for children, adults and families.
Westhaven has retail businesses and medical offices. The addition of the Harris Teeter grocery store makes this area even more attractive to residents. In the Fall 2010, Pearre Creek Elementary School is scheduled to open in Westhaven. This will be a welcome addition to the neighborhood--giving families a school within walking distance for their children.
With all these wonderful amenities, is it a surprise that people decide to opt for the Westhaven experience?
You can find John and Patricia sitting on the porch of their home most nights having a glass of wine. He and Patricia spend about $200 a month on wine. Why? Because they sit on their porch and offer a glass to neighbors as they pass by. I wish John were my neighbor...he could be yours.
If you are looking for more than just a home, Westhaven is the community for you.
