This is my most absolutely favorite time of the year.  Playoff time, World Series just around the corner.

Time stands still for me in October.  I plan everything around access to radio, TV anywhere or any place I can catch a glimpse of the game, a score an instant replay.

I believe the big man upstairs must have invented the internet accessible cell phone for baseball junkies.  Football, forget about it!

I love the smell of the grass, the roar of the crowd and that smack sound when bat meets ball.  There's nothing like the hearing the pop of a ball in the glove after some high cheese.

It's been rough being a Braves fan these past seasons but even living in Angels-Dodgers terrritory hasn't dimmed my loyalty to the chop.  We Braves fans don't wave girly hankys we swing tomahawks!  I know it's not as PC but I don't care, it's fun!

Some of my best memories revolve around baseball.  When you're in that stadium, it's really great to see so many people in one place who don't know each other have something in common.

Sounds naive but wouldn't it be great if countries could settle their differences in a best of 7 series.  A coin toss to determine who bats first and off they go!

Some of the best food on the planet can be had at a ballpark and I'm not talking fish tacos and chardonnay.  Oh Yah...big greasy hot dogs and messy nachos with beer.

   That's all American.

So to all baseball lovers out there savor every remaining moment of this season, I know I will.  The boys of summer are soon leaving the stage and the countdown to spring training begins.

Ana, I have to admit that I'm not a huge fan of any organized sport...for my own reasons...but I always liked going to Wrigley Field or Comisky in Chicago.  The best times was when I went with a group of friends.  Hot dogs, beer and the best friends I ever had...couldn't ask for a better time.

I'm not to much for baseball, but I love this time of year.  The fall colors, mist, and the smell after it rains.

I had a closing today and it got moved to just before the start of Game 3; had to run home and start the DVR first.  Couldn't miss that!

Oh and I forgot to mention, I like all the other stuff about fall too.  But baseball has to be the best!

Love the game of baseball.  Looks like there were Angels in the outfield today!

Nick,  sharing it with your friends is the best.  Chicago is so full of baseball history, I wish I could have gone to Comisky, never made it.

Theodora, I like those too except we don't get much rain here.  I miss that about living back east.

Daniel, Tivo is my best friend!  Don't people realize it's playoff time, how can you not schedule around it LOL.:)  Baseball beats falling leaves for me everytime.

Melinda,  yes they were, not so much for the Dodgers though.  Those 100 mph fastballs go a long way when you get a bat on them.  Great plays were made in both games.  Thanks for stopping by:)

Ana,

Fun post! This is a really fun time of year. I agree, it's just in the air. Hope you get to see all the games you want.
