The State of Connecticut has increased the real estate license fees as of October 1, 2009: 

Renewal Fees 2010

Brokers:            $375  + $16 for continuing education = $391

Sales People:    $285  + $16 for continuing education = $301

 

Initial License Fees -  individuals that have PSI paperwork**

Broker:              $565 + $20 guaranty fund           $585

Salesperson:     $285 + $20 guaranty fund           $305

 

** Please note that for those individuals that passed their test prior to October 1, 2009 the fees stated on that PSI are not longer valid.  They must pay the fees that are listed above:    $585 for Broker and $305 for salesperson. 

 Application Fees - Reciprocal Licensees

Broker:              $120

Salesperson:     $ 80

The fee in Indiana for renewing a license is $10.  Of course you have a much higher standard of living than we do here in the Hoosier state.  Thanks for re-posting this Gail.  It is always interesting to compare with others.

Sharon - I really don't complain about the fee increases.  I think there should be higher barriers to entry in our field.
