For some time now, I have been wanting to write a post about networking.
It is after all the driving force behind referrals.
Networking Is More Than Doing Lunch
The problem has not been my lack of knowledge of the subject...networking is something that I have always done intuitively.
In fact that is part of the problem. How do you go about explaining or even discussing something that is so much a part of you as breathing?
Not coincidentally, this is the second time that I have been stymied when wanting to write about networking.
The first time was when McGraw Hill invited me to write a book about networking.
At that time I realized that although I had enough experience to cover the topic, I wasn't sure how to write about it in such a way that did not duplicate what other authors had written. After much thought and discussion with the editor, we came up with Networking Is More Than Doing Lunch...book #4 for me. It's a great book...if I do say so myself...but unfortunately out of print.
Now I have the added problem of trying to write about networking without reinventing the wheel...regurgitating what I or other authors had written.
Essential Business Networking Technique
Happily I have recently learned that there is no need for me write about business networking techniques.
Business networking techniques is the site that I would have written had I chosen to develop a networking website.
Actually...it's better than the site I would have developed.
The site provides a whole lot more information than I would have had the patience to to gather and convert into writing.
This is a great website that anyone who networks...and what business owner doesn't?...should bookmark and refer to frequently.
Note the emphasis: refer to frequently.
Regardless of your networking experience, this site will help you increase the overall effectiveness of your networking techniques.
Check it out now...all you have to lose is some less than effective networking.
Thanks for sharing - I will check it out!
