HALLOWEEN IN THE MOUNTAINS OF MURPHY NORTH CAROLINA

Halloween in Murphy NC is quite a treat.... Murphy NC is located in the farthest corner of Western NC. The majority of the homes in Cherokee County NC are located in rural areas where there are no sidewalks or streetlights. On Halloween the businesses in downtown Murphy open their doors for trick or treating. The entire downtown area looks like a costume parade.

While the children are trick or treating the parents can enjoy an Espresso, Latte or Smoothies at The Daily Grind & Winery www.thedailygrindandwine.com

A Corner Candy Store www.acornercandystore.com  is always a popular stop for the kids. Their handmade fudge and chocolate delicacies are to die for... This month the Pumpkin Fudge is very popular. A lot of my clients who have vacation homes in Murphy are so happy now that they can order the fudge online.

Annual MONSTER BASH!!!! The Learning Center located in Murphy, NC is a charter school that serves grades K-8. It is among the few schools in North Carolina to receive a distinguished GreatSchools Rating of 8 out of 10. The school puts on their annual Monster Bash on October 24th and this year the theme is The Adams Family. There are rides, games, contests and activities for all ages.. The costume contest is the highlight of the evening.

The Cherokee County Rescue Squad will again have their Haunted Hayride. I personally went on the hayride last year and it was everything I was told it would be and more. The ghosts, vampires, mummys and monsters were very scary and just when you thought the ride was over.... You will have to go to find out!!!. If you like haunted hayrides this is the one to go on..... All proceeds go to the rescue squad
