It's Official! We're Holding A Virtual Real Estate BarCamp On November 17th

Some said we were crazy, but no one said it was a bad idea.

On November 17th from 9AM until 4PM PST
we will be holding the first of its kind,
Virtual Real Estate BarCamp.

In place of a rented venue, we'll be holding the event online.
In place of break-out sessions in rooms, we'll we have simultaneous webinars, all day.
In place of the hallways, we will be chatting on Twitter, Facebook, Backnoise and TomatoChat.
In place of traveling you'll be able to attend from the comfort of your home or office.
In place of an impromptu calendar, we will be filling presentation slots all month.

Attendance is unlimited, and it is still FREE!

And finally, so as to not lose the Social Aspect of the BarCamp atmosphere, we are encouraging volunteers around the country to organize In-Real-Life MeetUps for immediately after the online event. Sponsorship donations will help fund these Social Media Happy Hour style gatherings, so please let us know if you would like to help by volunteering your time to organize a local MeetUp.

As the calendar of sessions and the IRL MeetUps start to come together, we will keep you all posted through Twitter and our Facebook Fan Page.

Block off your entire calendar for Tuesday, Nov 17th. None of these webinars will be available after the event. You do not want to miss this.

I'm so excited about this! My office is going to attend...we are wearing our "company pj's" and having a pajama party all day :) We are also going to donate $25 each and buy X-mas presents for less fortunate kids with the proceeds. Triple threat! Learn, laugh and give back to the community. Doesn't get any better than that! Looking forward to it!

If there is any way you could get all the agents in the office that show up for the PJ party to register on the site, that would be AWESOME! We are looking to get an estimation of the attendance for the event. We hope to break 1000, but I am thinking that 2000 is not out of the question if more offices join in the fun.

Gee why is everyone* commenting on my Re-Blog of this that face to face is better? They had an opportunity to go to a rebarcamp (one said there's a rebarcamp in his area every 3 to 4 months... isn't he lucky! ) so this event will be lacking....

Not all across the US (and Canada?) have the same opportunities that people in big US cities do....

I am glad I got an opportunity to go to rebarcamp in Columbus but I still think I can learn from some of the presenters on this online event.

To those wondering about recording the sessions: We are thinking of it. The one thing for certain is that it is going to be an insane day to manage... so if we can find a way to get quality recordings of the presentations, then we will.

Dang....I'm traveling that day. Are you posting the key learnings from that camp, in future blogs?

I am so excited about this. We had a Rebar camp during the summer here in Salt Lake, and I was out of town and missed it. I have been reading the reports from camps all over the country, and I am lovin' the concept. A big Whoo Hoo from me and I will be there in all my virtual glory!

Finally an event I can attend!!! There are some of us that can't travel for whatever reasons. So this is great. I've marked my calendar.

I know I have a lunch time meeting but I will block the rest of the day. I loved the barcamp that I went to and not leaving my house is wonderful. I would leave for the social hour happy hour though. I would love to meet some local AR people.

I usually spend the day after the convention ends somewhere where I can write about what I learned and how I'm going to use it. Now I know that I will delay that by a day and attend this. I'm delighted! How sweet it is.
