ORLANDO, Fla. --- Record crowds are expected to participate in the auction of 29 luxury condominiums and 13 town homes at Venetian Bay in New Smyrna Beach on Saturday, Oct. 24.

Lori Chipps, auctioneer with Worldwide Auction Realty Services in Orlando, said more than 500 groups and individuals have toured the property in the past three weeks and more than 900 potential bidders have taken virtual tours of the luxury condominium property online.

“We anticipate that 20 percent of the 42 units scheduled for auction will be under contract before the auction begins,” Chipps said.    Record numbers of bidders plan to participate in the auction online, she said.

“Interest is strongest in New England and Atlantic seaboard states, but we have seen record responses so far from Canada, Germany, Sweden and the UK,” she said.

Venetian Bay is a spectacular country club community located off S.R. 44 just west of I-95. Luxury amenities include shops and restaurants at the Town Center, the Beach and Swim Club, a championship golf course, miles of nature trails with parks and playgrounds, said Roger Soderstrom founder and owner of Stirling Sotheby’s International Realty, the firm representing the property.

Tuscany Square Condominiums at Venetian Bay offer 78 luxury units in the center of Venetian Bay’s retail village, are surrounded by a beautiful lake. The condominiums, which range in size from 1,684 square feet of living space to 2,660 square feet, previously sold for over $550,000.

Parkside Townhomes previously listed from $260,000, feature 1,834 square feet of living area with two-car garages and tropical onsite pool.

Chipps said suggested opening bids for condominium and townhome units at Venetian Bay are $115,000.
