Feng Shui Consultants in Provincetown

Leaving early the next morning for Provincetown, we arrived on Cape Cod by noon.  You can FEEL the difference almost as soon as you arrive on the last stretch of land to Provincetown; the air is different and people seem more relaxed and kinder.

My brother Peter was a "Traveler."  He'd lived abroad for a while and had won a full scholarship to some of the best Art Schools in the Country.  He'd decided to go to Pratt in New York and spent several years there.  Still, when he wasn't in school, he traveled---and on his first visit to Provincetown he made some life changing decisions.  I had no idea I would soon be making some life changing decisions myself.

He changed course to become a Chef and when he completed the course, he went up and landed a job at Sal's Restaurant on Commercial Street in Provincetown as their Seafood Chef.  He loved his job and the people up there.  Provincetown became his home.

We stopped along the way in Wellfleet, Truro and finally made our way to Provincetown.  I was going to see an old friend of my brother's who owns a restaurant there named Café Edwige.

She was just locking the restaurant when we arrived and motioned that she was closed.  Laura and I just waited until she opened the door.  I saw her face go into shock after a minute and she let out a scream before hugging me.  I couldn't have imagined a nicer reception!

We caught up for a while, talking and reminiscing.  She told me that Jack, my brother's boss and very good friend had recently passed and I was so sorry to hear that.  They'd become such good friends that my brother was Godfather to his son.

She invited Laura and I to her lovely restaurant the next morning which she had Feng Shui'd herself and done a beautiful job!  It seems EVERYONE in Provincetown knows what Feng Shui is and many have used it or are seeking to incorporate it into their homes and businesses.

Provincetown by Feng Shui New York Consultant Carole ProvenzaleLaura talking to some new friends.  People in Provincetown have two questions for you:  "Where do you come from?" and "What do you do?"   Everone we spoke to knew exactly what Feng Shui was.  Some had Feng Shui Consultations done while others were interested.

She also asked us to stop in the restaurant my brother had worked in.  There was a picture in there, she said, of Peter and thought I should go see it.  I wasn't sure whether I could but she urged me to go and Laura and I decided to head down to the other end of Commercial Street.........

Carole- What an interesting town. I have never been and I am intrigued. Are these photos reminincent of everyday happenings? What fun.

Carole, you have such wonderful stories that you are so good to share with us.  Laura is so beautiful.  That is great that you were able to catch your friend as she was just closing up.  That may have been the best possible timing because she may not have been able to give you both her undivided attention with all her customers had you arrived earlier.  I can see why your brother stayed there!

Hi Carole, looks like a lovely place.  We are sure we would like, especially from the shot where you can see the water.  It's great living or visiting places that have water.

Enjoy yourself,

What a captivating story. We started to go to Provincetown back in 1999 but the traffic from Boston out to P'town was too bad. We were making about an inch a minute, so we turned around and went back to Boston.

Enjoyed the visit to Ptown Carole.  I hope that was some sort of celebration or parade that had the people dressing in balloons etc.  Have a great Wednesday.

Sharon, It is such a wonderful place and had been so many years since I'd been there.  It was time to re-visit.

Martha, Every single day in that wonderful town.  There is always something different going on and every few steps you come across something different.

Sharon, I can see why he stayed there too.  I loved visiting and knew I would be back again.  I'd forgotten about all the FUN up there!

Hannah, Some of this trip was sad and some astounded me.  I am almost sorry I waited so long to return but knew the timing was finally right.

Al & Peggy, You can relax on your own "private" beach or enjoy the bustling town there.  It truly is an amazing place.

Lessa, I'm glad you enjoyed them.  We had some gorgeous weather and it was so nice to be there and be able to share these photos.

Craig, Thank you....it was quite a trip.  I would have missed SO much had I not gone.

Mara, You would have had SO much fun.  It's a unique place where people (it seems) are always laughing and happy.  Everyone is friendly which is not the case in New York.

Linda, GO, you will love it!  There are beautiful places to stay but they fill up fast during the spring and summer so make plans ahead of time!

Russel, I have hit that traffic you speak of quite often.  I went up a day after Senetor Kennedy passed and I was concerned about the traffic.......instead it was a beautiful drive.

Joan, I was thrilled to see her.  I didn't know if I would find anyone with no notice and didn't even have phone numbers left for some.  Everyone who is there year round knows eachother so you can often track them down :)

Myrl, My family was wonderful and always supportive no matter how 'different' we thought.  I'm thankful for that!  I'm sorry my mother wasn't able to go but she's enjoying the pictures.

Paddy, It was some kind of mock wedding.  This was during a weekday and weekends are even wackier :)

Bill, It was wonderful to see her after so many years.  I can't say how glad I am that we went back finally.

Carole:  Your photos tell a story all by themselves.  You are my main resource for localism info  about New York City and surrounding areas, and my "go to gal" to learn about Feng Shui.

Carole what a lovely and good energy place! My mother-in-law lives in Barnstable, Cape Code. I think it is close to Provincetown, isn't it? We were there last Christmas and it was very cold, a lot of snow, I couldn't drive around too much. Did you move there already?

Carole, Wow, this looks like an absolutely wonderful trip!  I bet you love the small town feel and the friendly feeling. It sounds like it was a thrill to see your old friend at Cafe Edwige. Great pictures and great time!

Though I know this trip was designed as a "journey", it looks like it incorporated lots of fun, too, and that is probably as it should be!

Donna, I try to tell a story with photos so I'm glad to hear it's working :)  Thank you for letting me know.

Gabriela, I'm not moving there but will be back next Spring and Summer.  Barnstable County covers some beautiful towns including Truro and Wellfleet,  The Cape is lovely but most especially in the spring and summer.

Sandy, From start to finish it was such a wonderful time.  And you couldn't be more right, PTown IS a "good energy" place!

Mary, There was a lot to write about but the trip was just wonderful.  It's been nice being able to share it.

Jennifer, We met the nicest people.  Everyone is so friendly and I really wish Long Island and NYC were more like that.

Cheryl, It was both...and a huge learning experience that made me rethink some decisions I wanted to make.
