Well for me its been 18 months........It's like talking about Life Pre-kids and Life After Kids.......Like for many others -  I have to say that Active Rain has given birth to a whole new world for me.

I could talk about how  A/R has taught me discipline..how its allowed me to explore and find and bring to the surface latent passions - my love of writing and photography............I could say that in the 18 months I've been on Active Rain it has taught me more about Real Estate then my previous 18 years of Real Estate combined. 

A/R has brought so many of my fellow Realtors from many of the  States and Provinces to my virtual back yard........and me to theirs! From them  I've learned more about compassion, patience, love, support, encouragement, technology, stats, and duh...of course Blogging!

But the greatest gift by far has been the friends that I have made.  I know I'm not alone in this - but I do feel so blessed and fortunate to have had the opportunity of meeting so many of them.  From as Far East in Canada as Toronto- with Sylvie Conde.........to Orlando, Florida - where I met Missy Caulk  (from Ann Arbor) and Gary Mcninch.(from Washington)......

I got my previous job Team Leading at Keller Williams through Active Rain.....and that is where I got to teach our office about blogging and invite..Chris Penner and Terry Chenier.  

It was because of that job I got to go to Texas and meet up with my idol Gary Woltal , Steve Shatsky, Amanda Hall,Melody Botting &Gina Teague in Dallas, the Amazing Jason Crouch and Russell Lewis in Austin - and the delightfully charming Kristin and Sheila Moran  in San Antonio.

Then...most recently I got to meet the gang in Seattle for Raincamp, Brad Andersohn, and Bob Stewart, Claire C., Ben Kinney&  David Aanderud, & Fred Carver from Victoria....Sherry Siegel from Washington andthe fabulous Inspector Duo Steven Smith and Charles Buell........and Rene Fabre from Renton and of course Scott Leaf, Darrell Backen right across the pond from me in Port Coquitlam..Also right here in Chilliwack  my coach friend Tana Plewes & the fabulous homestager Louise Henry !  Wow now I'm overwhelmed, lol~!

Not to mention all the phone calls sharing tears and laughter, heart break and success ~  and e-mails back and forth with so many more...

I'm thinking of making a trip across the U.S. and Canada next summer and of incorporating city stops based on the wonderful people I've come to know! What could be better then that?

Liz, what a nice post.  Definitely AR has had an effect on our lives. It was definitely great to finally meet my dear friend, whom without, I would have had a much harder time, learning my way around AR. :)
