5 Comments on Beeton, Bee Town, Home of the Honey Festival and the Beeton Fall Fair
If you research honey and cinnamon used together, you'll find a cure for almost everything.
Hi Chris, sounds like a nice place to visit. What are the days and times the Fair will be open.
I need to look up more info on Beeton. My wife and I are discussing starting to keep a few beehives for honey (but I don't know that our city will allow it.)
For a sore throat or a stubborn cough try heating some honey (be careful the honey is not too hot if you are using a microwave) and add lemon juice or tumeric (or both) and then mix well.
Te exact ratio can very, you can start with 1 tablespoon of honey and either 2 teaspoons of lemon juice or 1/8 teaspoon of tumeric and stir well. You can adjust amount to taste and possibly mix lemon juice and tumeric with honey (?)
Take a teaspoon at a time, and let the warm mixture trickle into your mouth and down your throat.
A natural cure that beats cough syrups and medicated lozenges.
That is how Beeton got its name. The history goes on to state that sometime later, the person that first bought the honey bees from Europe to this area, moved them to an area on Georgian Bay (a couple of hours north of Beeton) to an area now aptly named Honey Harbour =)
