Good morning! I hope you're well. I was just thinking about motivation as there are some days where I just don't have it.

The job we do is often difficult and, if you're like me, I often wonder when the next deal is going to come through so I can pay the rent, etc. this month. One thing that helped me this morning was I reminded myself of all the things (loans in the pipeline, marketing campaign to be mailed, email newsletter to write, etc. etc.) that I'm currently working on. That combined with working for the best company I've ever worked for helps me break out of any funk I thought I was in.

So how are you doing? What are you doing to stay motivated on a daily basis? One of my new favorite authors is a guy named Bob Berg. He co-authored "The Go-Giver" which I loved. This morning I was reading one of his blog posts on Twitter-it was inspiring.

It also helps me to blog here. I love Active Rain for numerous reasons and it gets my head back in the game. Any feeling of not being motivated can be temporary. I think I'll write another blog post! Have a wonderful day!

Before going to bed I reflect on the day and think of a small goal I would like to accomplish for myself the next day..  something just for me...  It's my selffish goal...  It helps...

That's good advice. I appreciate it. For me, I thank God that I have wonderful people in my life and today was just one day among many. Take care. Thanks for commenting!

Reading about what other people are doing to bring business in their doors here on Activerain has been a major source of my motivation.  I figure if someone else can do it, I can too.

I just keep busy doing the things I need to do like networking, paperwork, viewing properties, doing open houses, contacting people, etc. What keeps me motivated is that I know that eventually hard work pays off and you have to keep planting the seeds today if you ever expect a crop tomorrow.

Thanks for your post Paul. Keep on Truckin. (as they used to say in the 70s)  :)

Shari: Thanks! I think the key is to stay focused and on task. At least that's worked for me so far. Again, thanks for weighing in-I appreciate it and wish you well!

You're right it can be a challenge......the best advice i can give is when I feel that way -i have to get out of my funk and go mingle with people - that always changes it for me!

Liz: That's good advice. Most of the time that works for me as well even though I'm an introvert! Have a great day!

Hi Paul. I think you have to stay away from "motivation" and just go with "faith". It's a job, and you have to have the disciplne to get up every day and do the things that you need to do to be successful.  I call it the "drip theory". Create enough drips, and soon you'll have a waterfall! Thanks for your thoughts.
