Everyone has heard the expression "today is the first day of the rest of your life". We have all heard it time and time again and yet have any of us actually lived like it truly was the first day of the rest of our life. What are you doing today, right now; this second to ensure you will succeed the rest of your life? Ok you got me a little, I mean besides reading this. Are you helping with your son's or daughter's little league practice. Maybe you have a great book to read that will motivate you or even your favorite television show that will help you detach a little and relax. Anything that keeps your body, mind or spirit moving is good for you if it's positive. If it's positive it is usually constructive and rewarding. One thing I have learned and studied is that for a business or a person to be successful it must keep growing and adapting or it will wither and die as certain as the sun comes up in the east everyday. All of our businesses have a gas pedal and no brake on them. Do we make mistakes? YES! But we do business and we move forward and learn from every mistake. When you do and you will, make a mistake, show your customer what "REAL" customer service is. Handle it in a way that leaves them in a state of awe for your talent and professionalism. Anyone can succeed if everything runs smooth and perfect; I want to perform well under pressure and stress. That's when they will see me and my team earn their money and respect. So charge ahead and live today, this day, for your future.
