I'll give a plug to our favorite pumpkin patch, Bates nut farm in Escondido Ca. We used to go there every fall and afterward drive to Julian up in the mountains for apple pie. That brings back fond memories.

Nancy,  Great photo series.  I like the way you lead from the field full of pumpkins to the one that is very special.  Thanks for sharing.

France & Mark - Bates Nut Farm sounds like a fun place too - & then heading onward for apple pie also sounds wonderful!!  One of our pumpkin patches, Lattin's Country Cider Mills & Farm, features hot apple fritters that are good enough to drool over :)

Thanks Gary - the 2 pix kind of captured that first overwhelming feeling of so many pumpkins - & then I love that my granddaughter so proudly cradles her pick!

Thanks Yvette & Dennis - yes she was VERY pleased with her pumpkin (though she insists on calling them "pinecones" !)

Thanks Jim - Happy Halloween to you too!!

Love it Gloria - I actually call her "pumpkin" quite a bit too!
