The PMEC is one of my favorite places to visit in Amherst. The mission of PMEC is "to foster an awareness, understanding and appreciation of the natural world, by offering environmental, conservation, and science programs... and to foster diligent stewardship of the environment so that future generations may inherit and continue to be inspired by the wonders of a protected and natural world."

The PMEC is an environmental and science education center located in Amherst, New Hampshire. It abuts almost 600 acres of Joe English conservation land. The PMEC is directed by the Amherst Recreation Department and it has numerous events and educational opportunities for the entire family.

Hi Joan, What a hoot. Hoot Hoot. Skpooktackular is a great new word. Will you be  in the 3 legged or the sack races. It said both  sack races and 3 legged races but combine those together and you would have a really hot , funny, though likely a dangerous contest. That would be worth any $$ price of admission. Sounds like a fun event and that PMEC  center sounds like something we need here in San Diego. I would become a member immediatley. Imagine what I would have access to photograph, :-

Kate ~ This is a great event for kids... The Peabody Environmental Center is a wonderful experience and will be a great venue for the spooktakular.

William ~  You definitely would love the PMEC and all of the events and exhibits.  There are so many things to photograph... you could do one of you spectacular new slide shows... and for Halloween, you could have some really scarey music!  Hop on a plane and bring your camera.

Joan, our brokerage used to set up a pumpkin give-away day, with face painting for the kids, and BBQ'd hot dogs and coffee/tea for the general public - and all the proceeds went to charity.
The kids loved it and it was for a good cause.  We should all do more of this.
