You Can Update Your Kitchen

By
Home Stager with Tuscan Home Decor and Design

Before the market went into a downward spiral, I was considering moving closer to my day job.  With pen and paper in hand, I made my "to do" list.  It seemed to get longer and longer but I am nothing if not determined.

I know kitchens and bathrooms really go a long way towards selling a home and mine needed some serious updating (Can you say original 1973 interior?).  With the exception of the carpet, I did the flooring, baseboard and door trim, painting, door replacements, etc.  I learned to lay tile and Pergo, and I am a pro with a coping saw now. The thing that made me the proudest of myself was the kitchen cabinets.  I had a countertop built but the rest was all me.

You can read about it here. http://ezinearticles.com/?Kitchen-Remodeling-Isnt-Just-For-the-Pros:-You-CAN-Update-Your-Kitchen-Yourself!&id=3095915  I hope this inspires anyone thinking about updating their cabinets. You really can do it!

I found a pic of the kitchen! Lost the before pictures when my hard drive crashed.

I had a lot of fun doing the whole house because I learned all sorts of new skills. I love my kitchen thought. I have done this twice.  The first time was in my townhouse and the cabinet doors had center panels I could remove so that was a little easier because I didn't have to worry about hinge placement.
