I must say that is an interesting structure amidst the treetops. I guess if they had put on a green roof it would have disappeared into the unknown :0)

Now that is very unique... I can recall seeing this type of a raised foundation... nor a blue roof for that matter.  There was a home near our office that had a roof that looked like the American Flag... when the house sold about a year ago, they had the roof returned to brown.

LOL, Hi Martha, your thought makes perfect sense to me. :-) The roof has an interesting shaped tile ( and color)  that I hadn't seen before.

Hi Joan, I think I would have it changed as well. I love flags but certainly not as a roof.

Hi Deb, Actually I didn't mind it. It certainly beats the re; clay color tile we have on nearly every home in So Cal. he place to see the stunning roofs is in Carmel Ca. along the 17 mile drive. Some of them undulate like a birds wing in flight, some have sod growing on them and some of the shapes are just simply stunning. Multi million mansions all.

William,

You say a blue roof, and people would say 'nay'. But when you look at this structure, it looks absolutely OK with me. I like it, it is strikingly different from the rest and it really catches the eye. And the quality of your photos is impressive

It is an interesting building, I wouldn't have thought that a blue roof would work either, but it does on this application.

I love the place and the photo! Funny how most people want a boring roof color. LOVING all your pictures.

What is the blue roof?  Is it a special roof for fires, so the owners can find it non-camouflaged or just aesthetic?

William - I am one of those folks that happens to love blue roofs.  In fact, I have one on the roof to the gazebo over my spa.  However, the gazebo itself is white.  I'll dig that picture out for you one of these days.
