My broker effected a short sale with Bank of America again.  It worked because he continued to hound them, and that is what it takes these days.  He ran up the ladder, we both worked the media, he finally got to the President's office and got some attention to the issue and the particular property we were working.

I am certain that he will be writing a post about this soon which I will reblog to you all.  And, I may get long-winded enough to show you all how frustrating it can be from other writers on Active Rain to get something accomplished with BOA/Countrywide these days.  For now, I want to celebrate this one small victory with my broker. the sellers , the selling agent and buyers.  Congratulations to all.

Isn't it rediculous. You have to wonder how it is that they get away with it. If you didn't read a past post titled " why the FDIC is going broke" you might want to. It's enlightening.

Good for you.  When I've tried to deal with CW/BOA, it was a joke.  But that's another story for another time.

We have worked so hard for this one.  Thanks to you all.  I will let you know when my broker gives you the blow by blow so perhaps we can all benefit from learning the true intricacies.  I know that Elizabeth Weintraub is also pretty good at getting some of these done.  Perhaps we should just start a new group for BOA short sales.....

Suzanne,

BOA/Countrywide is certainly one of the most challenging banks to deal with on a short sale. Congratulations for getting one by them.

Great job.  Persistence pays off and you did your clients a service.  It's also encouraging to those of us currently waiting on BoA.

That's the unmentionble, bank who shall not be named, that I am currently dealing with.  So far, they haven't received paperwork, have not received the authorization, gave me three different sets of instructions, one of which was to call Saturday for a confirmation, and then when I call, I'm told, we really don't work on Saturday, call Monday.  Sheesh.  Got any tips?

Isn't it crazy what we have to do to save them from having to spend more $$$ on a forclosure!

I must admit that I have no love lost for Bank of America, and I'm just a lowly home inspector.

CONGRATULATIONS!
