A New Admirer of Brian Buffini - Part 3

Need A Realtor

Taking a class on 100 Days to Greatness with Brian Buffini has become very difficult.  Keeping up the normal routine, selling Springfield Mo real estate and trying to change our work habits is not easy.  Closing on a home took priority over class this week.  Not only did I miss class, the rest of the team wasn't there either.

One of our daily tasks is to write thank you notes to our past clients.  Right now,  approximately 100 notes behind, I can not see how I can maintain this pace.  To my surprise, my assistant is currently on track with her notes and today received a phone call from a past client thanking her for remembering them.  They actually were getting ready to market their home when they received the hand written note.

Even, after having a great experience with my assistant, they were prepared to list with another agent.  As much as we keep up with our past clients, we somehow missed connecting with this client - until now.  My assistant not only reconnected, but set a time next week to list their home.

The Buffini class is working!  Working so well, that we may end up rehiring some of the staff that was laid off last year when the market slowed.

If you haven't taken a Brian Buffini class, this might be a great opportunity for you.  If you have, do you have a success story to share?

Our broker is a big fan of Buffini. I have not read any of his work but it seems as though he has some interesting material. My question is how effective is this 100 days to greatness for the rookie agent?

Also with the time you spent on this blog, you could of had only 98 more thank yous to catch up. Just teasing.

Have a great evening.

I am currently at the end of the 5th day of the first full week... I hear you!  Yes, it is difficult to keep up, but I see the wisdom in doing it.  I am seeing it as a cultivation as opposed to sales training. As far as the rookie agent goes - I wish I HAD done it as a rookie.  I don't know how much of a rookie you are, Doug, but as someone 6 years in, I feel scattered and disorganized, forever in "knee-jerk" mode.  This, implimented early, should protect from feeling that way.

Good luck, Kay - would love to see how things pan out for you!  Liz

I attended a Brian Buffini seminar several years ago and he's quite accomplished. I really like his style and his methods for real estate sales. I actually started his coaching program when I was in the title insurance business.

Thank you for keep us informed on your Buffini sucess.  100 notes behind....sounds like you need to hold an open house...lots of time there to write notes.

Doug, you are right!  I could have written a number of notes!  LOL  I think Brian Buffini's class is more beneficial to new agents than experienced agents.  The new agent hasn't formed any bad habits.  Thank you for the post.  After being in the real estate field 20 years, it's a lot harder to change those bad habits.

Liz, hope you are enjoying the class.  Just getting organized and staying organized is the hardest thing to do.

Todd - were you able to stay with the program and how has it helped your business?

Beth - I need to take a day off to get caught up on my business!  LOL

I am currently being Buffini Brainwashed!   My graduation is next week.  I have learned alot from Buffini and have always known my database is my treasure chest.  His teachings have made me more enthusiastic about doing the "small things" to keep my name in everyones head.

I too have trouble "winning each day".   I have trouble getting notes out each day.   But my favorite is POP-BYS.  They are fun, and it's a good change in a ruthless work week.   I have been showing property in neighborhood and see a previous client mowing his yard, stop the car and dash up to him with a POP BY gift.   The clients in my car think it's great and my previous CAP client always get a good laugh.

Christine, you are doing much better than I am.  My two daughters are taking the class too.  They are much better than I.  Staying on track is the hardest.  The main reason I took this class was to prove to the office I could do the class if they did.  HA HA!  So far no one as dropped out, so that is a win for me!

To keep up just do a little a day. I do 5 notes , 5 calls, a day.  My pop-by I can do in one day. Data base I work on everyday. But even if you just do some of it. You are doing well. They will come.

I have found that even if you could just plug away with what you are able to do the return on your investment is amazing with this program. Just stick with it and you will see too.

Just this past week I had 5 referrals in just one day! Other days I may get one or none but I don't know of another advertising opportunity that has that great of a return. I also prefer the personal recommendations that my new clients get from my past clients. You are able to start out your new working relationship on such a better start than with a complete stranger.

Keep up the great work and believe me you will start to see the results.

It's a great life!

Kay,

I'm just finishing my 2nd week of the "100 days to greatness" class -  and like everyone else, I'm getting a lot of positive feedback from clients and prospects - Do you mind sharing hat kind of results you've gotten from the program, now that you're approaching 8 months since the start?

I'm in my first week (already behind on my homework).  I am determined to catch up and keep going.  If I want things to be different, then I have to be different.  That is why I enrolled in the program.  That is why I joined AR.

Looking forward to checking back for your update.

Hi Everyone,

My name is Steve Rodriguez and I own a successful home inspection firm in Kansas City.

Even though I'm not a real estate agent, I follow Brian Buffini's principles about staying in touch with my past clients (my agents, too).

Anyway, I have a great solution to your notecards problem and it's called SendOutCards.

You can check out the service here:

Turn up your speakers and if you see the power in the system and want to use it for yourself, let me know.  If not, I wish you all the best and I hope the card sending gets easier for you.

Warmest Regards,

Steve Rodriguez
