As I previously blogged, wind power is the wave of the future when it comes to green energy production. It's an inevitability that will serve communities with clean, cheap, electricial energy. This past week, the University of Delaware launched it's turbine project with Gamesa Corp, a Madrid Spain company. Wind power is an excellent source of energy, and for those with available land and good prevailing winds averaging 11 to 13 miles per hour, this could be a great investment. Typically, a 2-megawatt turbine provides enough electrical energy to power approximately 500 homes. The University of Delaware College of Earth, Ocean, and Environment will be 100% wind powered when this project is complete
