Make a Difference Day

We made a difference at Make a Difference Day.

Our local Watershed Council hosted Make a Difference Day. There were really two big events I wanted to go to but time for only one, so I chose the tree planting at Arnold Park.

I brought my two favorite men along. They are awesome and showed themselves to be great tree planters.

We were late getting there but still had time to plant 20 or so trees. It was really heart warming to see so many people there to contribute to planting the trees to protect the creek and enhance the trail. Nice to see so many people there to make a difference.

At the lunch provided I had the pleasure of talking to one of the Urban Forestry commission members. His daughter told me about the pleasure of visiting and seeing the trees they've planted the last couple of years on Make a Difference Day. How cool is that? I'm looking forward to visiting with my son and husband as today's trees mature and planting again next year.
