Low Clouds

This looks like it was about to storm but never did.  Maybe it was just the time of day the shot was taken, early evening.

Sitting on the white sands, listening to the waves and watching the cloud formation can really make me forget all the stresses in life, if just for a while.

That's a very evocative photo, Jennifer. Makes me feel more peaceful just looking at it.

I look at that and I'm wondering if that moisture I think I feel is the first of the downpour. Thanks for sharing

It looks like a nice downpour out there in the right center part of the picture. Maybe that's where the two boats are heading.

Robin I know exactly what you mean.

Lottie I am glad you appreciated the scene.

Ed the funny thing is,  it did not result in a downpour although it looks like it should have.

Karen you could say that.

Marney that is exactly the feeling I had.

Russel It looks that way however the downpour never came.

Diane this was taken in the Caribbean, I wished I had that view all the time.

Jennifer, I love it! Reminds me of my stolen weekends at the Carolina coast, which reminds me...I think I'll go pack!

I'm glad you mentioned this was taken in the Caribbean.  I was beginning to wonder why you had such blue water in NY while ours is no where near that color :)

Jennifer that cloud looks like a shark to me.  The white hole is the mouth and the cloud above the white hole looks like the nose.

Jennifer - I see a large tortuga in the clouds. . .See the head and half of its body?

It always amazes me how the clouds in the Caribbean look so forboding then just as quickly disappear without spilling a drop.

A bad day at the beach still is almost as good as a better day somewhere else:)

SaraGray -  Sounds like a great idea.  Right now I wish I could be on the beach.

Jim & Maria - It would have been nice if this could be found here, sadly that is not the case so no need for you to be envious....lol

George I took a look and you might be right.  That is a feature I like about clouds, if you look long enough you can see formations.

Myrl - If you see it, it must be so :)

Lynda - I agree.

Kate me too.

Jenny that was the case with my photo, it never rained although it look as if there was going to be a huge downpour.

Great photo from Cuba

Hi Jennifer - I can just imagine sitting there like you describe. I'd like that very much....we got 8 inches of snow over night... :(

Jennifer, very nice photos, I don't think that I would like to be on the water whether it stormed or not!

Hi Jennifer, what a wonderful photo.  I'm glad it didn't storm and you were able to sit and enjoy the ocean.

Great looking shot. Bet those two boaters didn't think the sky looked so pretty. :)

Great title! It really does look like you can reach out and touch those clouds. It's like I'm looking at our own little plot of shoreline. Yet you're MANY miles away!
