Debbie - That is one of the reasons I moved to Las Vegas, we have flowers like this growing year round and where I lived in the Midwest they would be dead by fall!

VB, what a beautiful rose! I have a rose bush that is very confused and has three buds getting ready to open. After the snow we had a week ago it is a little odd indeed!

I wish Fall would last a little longer too. But, winter brings in a whole new landscape to enjoy - of course we have mild winters with just enough snow to enjoy. It's almost healing and renewing as it gives way to the pop of Spring! Always looking forward :)

I don't understand what you mean by "the beauty that once was." The beauty is still here! It's year-round! One just has to open one's eyes and enjoy it.

Here is a current picture of a weedy rose that grows wild in my cactus garden and which I can't get rid of. I think it's possessed. Maybe from Area 51.
