1) Laurie Manny - I am so crazy about Laurie Manny that I can do an impersonation of her.  Not blog like her, but talk like her.  Now don't everyone call her or she won't get any work done!  But I LOVE her voice!!!  She definitely be IQueenie!!!  I was blown away by this post of Laurie's when I first came to Active Rain in the middle of March, and she become my Idol at first read!

2) Teresa Boardman - After I was here in Active Rain for about a month, Teresa Boardman's photo of her "ad on a bench" had me saying "She's a HOOT!"  As much as I love her style and humor, I also like her informative posts.

3) Maureen Francis - I first noticed Maureen Francis when she wrote this Blog Tour post after I had been in Active Rain for about a month.  I didn't understand anything about this whole world of blogging then, but writing this post reminds me to go back and see more of Active Rain through Maureen's excellent eyes!  She gives so much!  I wonder why we don't hear about her more, as with over 150,000 points, you would think I would run across her more.  I plan to make time to find her more often.

4) Maggie Dokic - I first noticed Maggie Dokic when she wrote this Article about my friend and colleague, Beth Butler  I was amazed that someone as busy as Maggie would make time to welcome a new member in a blog post.  Looking back I realize that I should have learned from that.  I'm not sure what I should have learned, but I'm sure I missed the point of Active Rain that day.

5) Marlene Bridges - Marlene first caught my attention with this article on Real Estate Professionals that got 56 comments.  I realized then that you didn't have to be one of the people with over 100,000 points to write a great blog post.

6) Melody Young - I know everyone likes that Hard Money Guy, but this post written by Melody Young, "The Hard Money Gal" actually caught my attention back in mid April.  Her most recent post is a good message to ARDELL that we Apprentices are not the only whiners in Acitve Rain.  According to Melody, we as whiners are not even worth mentioning, since there are so many higher placed whiners here in Active Rain.

7)  Colleen Kulikowski - is like the grand hostess of Active Rain, but she's real quiet.  She talks a lot, but real quiet.  I can't point to any of her posts because her style is so not me.  But I'm sure there's something I should be learning from her but haven't.  So she's in my blog subscriptios.

Well now I'm gonna have to be honest here and tell you I get why my Coach, ARDELL, gave me this "homework" to do.

Since the middle of April I have just been all about Project Blogger.  The first month I was learning about Active Rain, and actually very excited about Active Rain.  But since I got involved in my own blog for the competition (see ARDELL, I didn't put a link to my blog because you told me this homework is not all about ME or anyone involved in Project Blogger) I've been missing out on what I can learn from Active Rain.

That is going to change TODAY as I pledge to at least try to figure out what Active Rain is really all about.  Thanks for the Homework ARDELL!  I learned something already.

I read this post in my rss reader. Thought it was excellent and ran over here to leave a comment. I was so surprised that there were no comments on this yet. I'm still shocked. This is just a really great post and gives great compliments to those bloggers. I too enjoy many of the blogs you listed. I actually really liked seeing the bench add with Teresa. That is quite funny.

Angie:  My comment would have been here earlier, but the system was hiccuping on me this AM.  (Oops, had too many windows open)

Kevin:  Wow, you knocked out that assignment out in record time!  When I read Ardell's post earlier, I though uh-oh, Ardell means business this time.... Looks to me like you can give back as good as you get <s>

Plus you introduced me to a couple bloggers, Marlene and Melody, that I hadn't read yet.  Thanks!!

Kevin, what an honor.  Thank you for mentioning me.  I have been around ActiveRain much less since you arrived on the scene.  You can keep up with me on miOaklandCounty.com, and I would love it if you would stop by.  You have a few of my favorites on your list and some who I have not had the pleasure of reading yet.  I will have to check them out.

In the meantime, there is a new blogtour up on Rich Jacobson's blog and best of luck with Project Blogger!

ahhh... the Project Blogger Brat shows the real value of network blogging like Active Rain.  It is about time you fess up publicly to what I know you have found to be the real reward of the competition - learning from other real estate bloggers.  Ardell has been the up front coach - but there are so many others that have helped along the way... nice to show that every once in a while ;)  Not to worry, you are still mirroring Paris Hilton - she has been calling in her "new ways" as well.

Ohhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh, the brat got spanked!!!!  Nice job Ardell, ha!

They shouldn't call you Paris Hilton.

You are Ferris Beuller!!!!!

Nice Job brat!   Thank you for the compliment.  Bet you can just hear me saying this too, can't ya?  LOL

You crack me up.  A new fun bad boy for Active Rain.

Kevin, once you figure Active Rain out, you are going to love it here.  We have a lot of really great people who you have not met yet, but need to.  Have a wonderful time splashing around in the rain. The blog tour is a good way to get to know a few.

By the way, do you know what a header tag is?  No?  Ok, your mission - should you choose to accept it - is to look it up in the Active Rain blog search.  Happy blogging.

Doing it now.  Oh Laurie....the learning curve.  I just may have to call you up for you to explain it to me so that I can hear your 'friggin' voice.

Laurie,

I don't do that "deceptive stuff" LOL  You'll have to teach him how to gain attention without content.  I just do the content part to get 15 or more pages on Google :)  I have no "tricks of the trade" and in fact abhor them.  Poor Dustin has to tag my stuff cause I'm such a purist!  And that looses all the first generation tag juice.

I know how to do it, I just want my readers to KNOW that I write for the sake of telling them something, and not to get juice and SEO and all that other reason.  It translates into my style of agency as well.  My package says my interests are non-existent.  My total package has to have that thrust and meaning.  So no wooing the search engines for me!

But that's my schtik

Kevin, apologies first.  I'm sorry I'm so late getting here.  My new bosses are keeping me very busy.  I am flattered, and humbled, to be included in your list, and in such good company.  Thank you.

You seem to be gathering quite a few names for yourself in the Rain.  Resident Hunk comes to mind but Project Blogger Brat was a new one to me.  If Beth is calling you that, it must be so!  From the short time I've known Beth I've learned she calls them like she sees them!  lol

In all seriousness, I owe a debt of gratitude to Active Rain.  I can't fully explain everything I've gained by participating here.  I am sure you will 'get' more of the Rain as you go along.  With Ardell providing such great homework it's almost guaranteed.

David,

Better to be honest.  If you only have 7...stop at 7.  Learned he hasn't been out and about enough and it's all about the learning.

Kevin - I am absolutely blown away that I made it into your list of favorite bloggers.  What an incredible honor.  It's always lovely to be appreciated, but to be apreciated in a field of so many very talented and seasoned bloggers is a thrill for one who's only been on the scene since January.

Thanks again for the most unexpected compliment!
