The Friendly Market in Morehead City, North Carolina is located on the corner of Friendly Road and Bridges Street.  Hours of operation are Monday - Saturday 9am - 5pm and Sunday from 9am - 3pm.  On Saturdays you will find a much larger selection of vendors offering everything from Tomato Pies to the works of local artists.  Garner's Fruits and Vegetables are the best around, and all week you can find Garner's Plant Stand available for the finest, seasonal plants and trees. 

Right now, Pumpkins, gourds and beautifully colored mums in all shapes, colors and sizes, are plentiful at the market. In the springtime, you will find everything you need for your landscaping needs to brighten up your home and yard, at The Friendly Market in Morehead City.                                                                        

You'll not only find plants to fill your yard, but a wide selection of yard art is available at The Friendly Market.  Handcarved wood pieces, pottery, decorated buoys, sun catchers, bird houses and feeders,  and much more.  You will also enjoy a variety of handmade jewelry, baked goods, stained glass, photography and handmade accessories for the kids.  The Friendly Market is the perfect place to start you Christmas shopping, as there is something for everyone found along the path that runs through the market.

The Friendly Market is just like it sounds, FRIENDLY!  The vendors provide excellent service with a smile.  If you can't find what you are looking for, they will tell you where you can.  And if you don't find that one item you can't live without at the Friendly market, you will still have a great time wandering around and enjoying the brightly colored and whimsical items.  Everyone is welcome at the market, and children will have a ball.  We were there this morning and Tanner, my four year old, picked out the perfect gourd, and learned how to make a birdhouse when it dries.  Instruction was free of charge!

The Friendly Market is located in Morehead City, but is just a short drive from Beaufort, Newport and the island of Bogue Banks.  Plan on stopping by if you are going to be in the area, you'll be glad you did.
