All it takes is a split second to send an electronic missive. Sometimes, we send them because we care about the person we are writing to or about. Other times we send them because we have a list of justifications we wield like a mantra, or something to market, or something to have blog post therapy about... The variables are too numerous to list here. Everyone has their reasons for writing or not writing... We all will attack or defend at will. It's part of the give and take of a relationship and sometimes things happen where we have to tell another person we are sorry but we get so entrenched in our position that we miss our moment to make amends when we hurt another person.

Don't miss your moment...

It doesn't just affect the person you are fighting with. It affects everyone who cares...

Can we kiss and make up (your alternative blog title)

;-)

How odd.  I'm watching TV (have it on for background noise) and just hit the comment button.  I glance up at the TV screen, and at the exact moment the actor walks through the door, into the room where his colleagues are sitting and says: "I . . . . apologize."

I'm a GREAT director!!

Not sure what you've got on your mind C-T but, then again, we never do, do we?!!  LOL  Seriously, writing is very therapeutic--however, we must be careful not to offend as we're defending!  I love your 'blog post therapy' remark-that is SO me when I'm irritated with something that happened locally (like the 'inspection gone bad' post a few weeks ago.  I was livid with that agent and I had my therapy while writing then justification when reading others' comments!

Have a wonderful week!  Can't WAIT to see in you RDU...

Awe shucks!  Not worth the angst.

If it is a matter of defending ourselves against an unwarranted or distasteful attack, I believe that the less said the better.

A nasty comment or post from another will cause that "another" to cease to exist in my world.

Way to Go Lenn I love your way of thinking.  I'm thinking that Ms. C could be having a moment or something like a burr under her saddle.

Hi C,  What a wonderful reminder.  Say you're sorry, really mean it and move on.

While I try to stay away from conflict, and my first instinct is RUN!, sometimes it can find us.

Like Lenn, I personally find nastiness not worth the angst;, and once it is flung my way, in person or in cyberspace,  I cross it out of my life gone.  No time for that here.

By the way, I have been enjoying your stream of consciousness posts, where your points are well thought out and concisely made in what you call your ramblings.  Thank you for sharing with us all.

I always think the real power is not getting too far into the fray. Let the other person go nuts, retain control and win! But that does not mean doormat status either....I suspect you are very good at the balance it takes to handle things. I hope whatever inspired this post has been resolved. Happy Monday K

C-Tann - AMEN!  I too don't know what inspired this post but it has inspired me.  Funny how blogging does that with positive energy as well as negative.  Just another life lesson - we gotta take the good with the bad and just move on.  Have a good day C-Tann.  :)

I said I was sorry already!  Geez!!

All kidding aside, I think the best course of action is to always speak up, good or bad.

Susan, I second that. Better to speak up and move on then stew. :-)

Donne, sometimes mediation and arbitration can take a lot out of people. I've been referee to a number of squabbles and I find myself wondering why we're all still fighting over a moot point.

Karen, not getting too deeply involved can be tricky when your friends are dragging you (kicking and screaming) along the way (LOL). ;-)

Dedra, thank you. I appreciate your kind words. :-)

Dick and Dixie, the usual behind the scenes balancing act between peeps (LOL).

Lenn, a very unique perspective. ;-)

Debe, thank you. Looking forward to hanging out and spending time with my bay-bays.

Carla, I am always game for the kiss and make up (LOL). Then again, depends upon who is doing the kissing and what we're making up for (LMAO). ;-)
