My client Bill Brownell gave me permission to share these pictures of the progress being made on this now 5 year long Hoover Dam Bypass project. Completion is on schedule and expected November 2010!

If you've read my previous posts referring to the Hoover Dam Bypass, you know that northwestern Mohave County will be powerfully impacted by the completion of the Hoover Dam Bypass, a bridge over where Lake Mead meets the Colorado River to Boulder City, Nevada from White Hills, AZ.

Completion is nearing, after some snafus and delays. And lookin' awesome!

Once completed, the Hoover Dam Bypass will benefit Mohave County in many ways:

  • Commute times from Kingman AZ to Las Vegas will shorten dramatically
  • Inland Port Status may be granted to Kingman
  • White Hills, Dolan Springs, Meadview and Golden Valley will become bedroom communities as their proximity to Highway 93 makes their locations along the access corridor desirable
  • Property desirability will increase in those areas
  • Property values will increase in those areas

(My opinion. YMMV)

These breathtaking helicopter view photos provide insight into the size of this undertaking and how important it is to have a better way to get from Kingman to Vegas.

Candice -- you are the epitome of a great agent!  "Bill's got an awesome property.  You should buy it!"  LOL ... too perfect!!  And the photos are breathtaking, literally.  I started to get vertigo just from the pics!  I did not know this great engineering feat was being developed.  That's amazing!!

Somehow I don't normally think of waterfront properties and AZ in the same sentence. However it looks like they are out there. Good luck selling them. Thanks for the new bridge photos, it looks very impressive!

Candice, Wow, that bridge is spectacular.  I can imagine this might just become the hot new area to be in a short time, I'll bet it's beautiful.

Glad y'all like the pics.

I'm a 'feet on ground' kinda girl and 'just OK, not passionate' about flying--but the BEST shots are from the air and my client captured the magnificence of the project, which at commencement stirred a lot of market activity in those areas.

The people who bought before then, when prices were good--and NOW, while prices are good again--could make some $$ in this area as market shifts once more.

Candice, that's breathtaking (not the dam - the scenery). :)
Gee, I don't know if I'd want to walk up there.  It looks sturdy, but it also looks scary.

And yes, Bill has an awesome property and you should buy it. :)

(I hope Bill is reading your blogs.)

I had no idea they were building a huge bridge there. I wonder how long it took to complete the environment impact review.

THANKS BILL for allowing Candice to share these with us!

When my brother lived in Phoenix for a year (9/11 era with the federales protecting the dam, as I called it,) we would drive to PHoenix once a month.  Dam traffic was always a nightmare!

I am excited about this project and can't wait to drive over it!

Well hey Vegas neighbors!

That is very cool V-Bob!

Renee, I will tell Bill. (We sold his property BTW--YAY!)

I was here then too. Nightmare describes it!
The Bypass will be very awesome and completion is foreseeable!
