There are many fun things to do in the Austin, Texas area. From parks, to lakes, to live music and wineries too. Yesterday I visited the Flat Creek Estate Winery just northwest of Austin near Marble Falls. This winery was established in 1999 by Rick and Madelyn Naber and is a great place to visit and get away from the busy city life. While you are there you can walk the grounds, eat lunch and taste a dozen wines (Italian muscatos, muscato blanco and orange muscato and Italian reds and whites, sangiovese, primitivo, pinot grigio and pinot blanc) all produced at Flat Creek Estates. Tasting Room Hours of Operation: Tuesday through Friday- Noon until 5:00pm Saturday- 10:00am until 5:00pm Sunday- Noon until 5:00pm. I encourage you to take a drive out to Flat Creek Estate Winery and experience what Central Texas has to offer.

The ones around Austin are really good. But don't forget the ones further west near Fredericksburg. The fall is a great time to sip and sample with the leaves turning along the Guadalupe River.
