I know there is definitely some confusion about what the symptoms of H1N1 might be - how is it different from a common cold or regular seasonal flu? At what point do you want to drive yourself over to the hospital?  Check out this list !

What are the symptoms of H1N1... and how are they different from the common cold?

How can you help stop the spread?

Help Stop the Spread of H1N1

I don't know if this is accurate or not but several different sources seem to be giving us this information so I thought I would pass it on... some say the HINI outbreak will peak this week...some say it will break out again in January... I am not a doctor and have no idea but the chart is interesting so I thought I would pass it on... it makes some sense... as always wash your hands and stay home if you are sick and as we do in my office LYSOL!

What I want to know is how they can tell the regular flu from the H1N1 without the test.  I've had several friends go to the dr. and be told they have the H1N1 flu so I'm sure they are being counted in the "stats", yet none of them had the test come back positive.  WHAT?

The number 1 way germs are spread is from people NOT washing their hands thoroughly and OFTEN! So like Healthy Bear says, WASH THOSE HANDS!

If I hear someone cough & it sounds like an "oink" I just run away screaming.  Not sick yet!

Liz:  I have extensive experience in this arena.  I had swine flue last June....It is major coughing and gastro intestional and if you don't take care of yourself....like I didn't you will get pneumonia, like I did....Then last week I got H1N1...extrmely quick onset.  I think I got H1N1 because my immune system was low from being sick last June.  What I have I leaned from this???????...I am not invincible like I thought.  I actually got over H1N1 quickly because I did take care of myself!
