Fest of Ales and Scarecrows in the Garden - An annual fall tradition, Scarecrows in the Garden showcases dozens of scarecrows stuffed by local organizations, businesses and individuals. Scarecrows are displayed throughout Southern Seasons Garden and Children's Garden along with wonderful and creative seasonal decorations.

Last Year we attended the Scarecrows in the Garden event at the Atlanta Botanical Gardens. There was great live music, cool things to see and cold beverages. It's back again and this Thursday night October 29, 2009 seems like the night to be there from 5 to 10 p.m.

• Moore in America art exhibit
• Watch as the sun sets over the Atlanta skyline
• Bring a flashlight to explore the scarecrows throughout the Southern Seasons Garden
• Great Chefs of Atlanta Pumpking Carving Contest from 7 - 8 p.m.
• Art and Ale: Meet several featured artists during Fest of Ales in the Garden Gift Shop.   Receive 10 percent off (Members 20 percent) all artwork purchases.

Tickets are $15 each and free for members of the Atlanta Botanical Garden.

The Atlanta Botanical Garden is pretty big considering it's location in midtown Atlanta. GA. Its 30 acres and located next to Piedmont Park. 1345 Piedmont Ave NE Atlanta, GA 30309-3366. This event is  just another reason why Atlanta GA is a great place to live.
