About a month ago I read a Week in Review by Christina Lackey. She teased you into trying a week - see how easy you thought it was. Well, I'm not one to turn down a challenge. So I contacted Neal Bloom to volunteer.
Well, this week I was asked to write the post. (I had a busy week. I also got meme'd). So off I went... reading, reading, reading and more reading. I've actually met a lot of bloggers I didn't know before. It's been a great week. I kept a running list of the posts I liked. I had the 'yes absolutely' part of my list and the 'great post maybe' part of my list. I had no idea how many blogs I would come across that warranted a Top 25 inclusion. I ended up just narrowing down from my 'yes absolutely' list. (12 of these were featured.)
A quick note about my criteria... it's all so subjective, but mine all mine.
- I am a skimmer. I like posts that are formatted well. Draw you in and keep you there.
- I like new topics or new perspectives on ongoing topics or things that just stand out.
- Every post on this list is one that I thought about again later, when I was away from the computer. This is really the key for me. The criteria for that would be different for everyone. But a post that makes me think about something, consider a different view or leads me to new ideas.... That's what I like. That's what makes me subscribe to blogs.
So grab some popcorn, sit forward, and start clicking through excellent web surfing on Active Rain for the week... You never know where it may lead you.

How did I stack up to the challenge?
I loved compiling this. I read so many great posts and got a lot out of reading so many blogs. I highly suggest you volunteer for a week (contact Neal). It is a time commitment, but well worth it. I actually would like to officially volunteer again for a future opening.
