Orange You Glad You Staged Your Home?

By
Home Stager with Hart & Associates Staging and Design

When I stage a property I always like to use a pop of the same color in each room to unify spaces and add more flow to the home. I also use a pop of color to direct the buyer's eye to which selling features I want them to notice- the great fireplace, the kitchen counters, the cozy sitting area in the master bedroom. Perhaps it is the season but lately I have been loving orange and how it adds warmth and sizzle to the spaces we stage. Take a peek and try it out in your own home. Add some perky pumpkin, mellow mandarin or calming homcantaloupe to give your rooms a kick that you can enjoy all year round.

Not only are you talented with staging (I love the same color prop idea - it really shows well!) but I love your play on words! "Orange" you glad!  ha-ha. Thanks for the grins this morning!

Each room looks lovely and yes the first thing I saw was the great fireplace! The color moved me right to it.

Hi Kate ~ Such beautiful rooms! Orange seems to be quite popular right now - the Globe did a decorating issue of the Sunday magazine and it was all about orange. A lot of it is too much for me but I really love the way you've used it as an accent.

Kate _ Love what you did in staging these rooms. I too like orange tones. My mother laughes because this was color of the 70's when she decorated her house. She nearly choked when she saw the cinnamon colored curtains in my living room. She refuses to see the beauty in oranges because of her burn out of the 70's! Fun, fun, fun...

Gorgeous rooms, Kate.  I just bought 2 pictures with red/orange.  I need to find some accessories to spread the color around.

Kate -- this home looks great!  Using one vibrant color like a thread throughout the rooms is a wonderful way to draw the eye around to whatever you want buyers to notice....well done!
