Due to the combined efforts of Central Florida Realty Investors and Orlando Regional Realtor Association, this proposed rental ordinance and tax was defeated 4-1. Several members of both organizations spoke out at the hearing and gave the city commission some alternatives to creating yet another level of bureaucracy.
This is a great victory for private property rights in Central Florida.
