The first annual Taste of the Town had 20 restaurants in a small portion of the Myrtle Beach Convention Center. Today this is the area's premier culinary event of the year. Today this event features over 50 restaurants in 100,000 sq. ft. of space in the convention center. Over 10,000 people visit this one-day event! Twenty-five years ago Saint Andrew Catholic School decided to start a small fundraiser and look at what it has turned into, wow!
At this event, you will sample the diverse offerings from this area's finest restaurants. Chefs dazzle you with fancy culinary tricks, restaurateurs eagerly wait for their name to be called to the stage for winning Best Entree, Best Dessert, or best-decorated food pavilion.
And if you really want entertainment, don't forget that Taste of the Town provides you with the best "people-watching" you can find in town. 99.5% of the people that attend Taste of the Town usually will run into someone that they know or haven't seen in many years! In fact, local celebrities have even been known to attend Myrtle Beach's largest culinary festival. Who can forget the surprise appearance by the Radio City Music Hall Rockettes a few years ago!
