Oakville is going to be a veeerrrrrryyyyyy sssssscaaaaaarrrrrrryyyyyyyy place for the next weeeeeeekkkk with all of the ghosts (boo), goblins, strange characters and so much more.

Then its time to get ready for American Thanksgiving so we can enjoy reading about Black Friday, whilst at the same time shopping to find things to hang by the chimney with care or under your tree.  Downtown Oakville is a great place to find unique gift ideas.

Hi C Team - I love our downtown shopping area.  It is so vibrant now and there are great shops.

Hi Jim, yes we are the meat in the sandwich so to speak.  We have over 170,000 now.  Although population wise we should be considered a city but we are still considered the Town of Oakville.

Hi Marcia - Yes the Added Touch is still here.  It moved from Trafalgar Road to Lakeshore Road.  The store isn't as large but they have a great little tea room where I had a lovely lunch awhile ago with a friend.

Hi Marc, you are right.  You can find some very unique items in the downtown shops.  There is a great little store I buy reasonably priced jewellery at.

Peg and Al - Oakville was a fun place today as I got to enjoy your company over coffee.  It was great to catch up with you.

Hi Kathy, I haven't bought my trick or treat candy yet.  I always leave it so late and it gets picked over.  Guess I better get out there tomorrow.  I missed Canadian Thanksiving as I was in Cuba.

Oh the holidays.  I don't know how Americans have turkey at Thanksgiving and then again such a short time later for Christmas.  I love the family gatherings but hate the stress that comes with it.
