For a little self improvement I enrolled in an English class. It is being taught by an individual that will not divulge her political opinion but tends to have plenty of them.

She is a great lady, however I do not agree with most of her comments. It has been a real eye opener to know what they are saying in our schools from first hand experience.

Today was typical. We were told of how our nation wanted to have Pearl Harbor attacked- just so we could join in WW2. We had advanced knowledge and we were drooling at the chance to be attacked just so we could join the bloody battle.

As usual my blood began to boil and I was outraged that she would share this with the class as a fact not an opinion. So I whipped out my blackberry and posted to Facebook what was being said. I ended it with my opinion- what a "CROCK."

Unfortunately I forgot the "R". I was not aware of this until my husband wanted to know what all of the name calling was about. Spell check does not catch this sort of oops. Beware, and enjoy a laugh at my expense.

Dianah - I can relate to your post and there are people out there that talk about strange different things. But I seriously believe there are many things that go on in this country and other countries that are all a cover up.

There are some things that we will never know the true, hang in there kid and how is the writing going for the photos?

VB ;o)

Dinah,

You do not have to have a spell check, just tell her that it is just plain wrong. If she is teaching English, do it. If she is praying that strange stuff, she should not be surprised to hear angry voices in her face.

Lucky I am not in that class. Someone would have to leave the calss. And I doubt that would have been me (LOL)

Whoopsie, Dinah.  I dont know that spell check would have caught this one, though.  But, it would definitely give me a giggle.  I used to proofread Environmental Impact Reports.  One of the common misspellings I would come across was "pubic" for "public".  When you pay alot of money for a remediation assessment, you might want to have all the words spelled correctly or else you kinda look silly.  Luckily, your misspelling wasn't on a report.

Hi, Dinah. Wow describes it very well.  lol  As others have said, spell check doesn't look for context.  If I had typed Mom describes it very well, it'll fly.

It's amazing what is being taught in the schools, no wonder homeschooling is a very attractive option to many parents.

Dinah,  I think the mistake was hysterical.  I bet the class was more enlightening than you thought.
