The Filibuster Four: Target These Senators To Protect Public Option

Yesterday, Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid announced that he will include the public option with an opt-out clause for states in the final Senate health reform legislation. He will need all 60 votes in the Democratic caucus to get it passed. Huffington Post political reporter Sam Stein names "names" on Montel Across America with guest host Karen Finney, putting them in a group we like to call, the Filibuster Four: Senators Ben Nelson, Mary Landrieu, Blanche Lincoln, and Joseph Lieberman.

Call or write these Senators now to keep the pressure on them to vote yes on the public option.

It's a shame that this all falls along party lines. It shows a real lack of cooperation among our elected officials and it is real disappointing.

You assume that we all want a public option. The case for such a program is not clear.

I do not assume ALL want public option...if all wanted it we would not have so many problems getting Health Care Reform Passed...

and even then it depends on what else might be in the Bill as well.....

But Please........ our elected officials need to Get Something Done...and NO that does NOT mean ANYTHING done but "something" in regards to Health reform

Linda Mae, in the case of Droopy Dog, no amount of phone calls are going to get him to back down. He's one of the obstructionists now. Too bad Harry Reid didnt have the balls to remove him from his chairmanship, when he jumped over to the other side.

They can opt out but the states that do will lose so much government funds that non can afford to drop out. Here in Florida for years every citizen has health care available and it is already built into our state budget. How can we do that you ask? I am glad you did, we don't build bridges to no where or let our politicians hide their so called retirement funds in refrigerators.
