I finally took a tour of Fort Sumter a few weekends ago. I highly recommend it not only for its historical and aesthetic value but for the possibility of encountering ghostly soldiers. It could happen! Happy almost Halloween!

Melissa, Interesting spooky photos of Fort Sumter.  I'll put it on my list of places to visit when in South Carolina.  Looks like a good place to go for the flavor of Halloween and learn some history too.

Melissa - Fascinating photo with ghostly presence:-)  I had never visited any of the civil war sites until May of last year when I had the opportunity to be in Pennsylvania and was able to visit Gettysberg.  It provided a lot of impact.
