ARE YOU READY FOR SOME FOOTBALL!!!!
I am so pumped, I feel like I am back in high school, getting ready for that rival game. Sure, the whole Owens thing has made this even more exciting and nail biting. But this will be a national event and Fox Sports will be back in town again. How many football citys can say that Fox Sports did their show live in their city not just once this year, but twice. And the season isn’t even half way over yet.
The town of Philadelphia is so pumped….. I have lived here 85% of my life and I have been a die hard Igles fan since the mid 70’s. Kind of a funny story on how that happened. Let me share with you…..growing up, we only had one TV. My dad grew up outside Green Bay, Wi but moved in the Philly area in 1965. I was born in 1967 and when I was around 7 or 8 or so, I was big on the Steelers. I mean, how couldn’t you be, with guys like Franco Harris, Lynn Swan, Terry Bradshaw, Mean Joe Green……. But since my dad couldn’t watch his team, we had to watch the Eagles. Well….skipping forward…. It’s the best move ever.
Tomorrow….. it’s like knowing as a little kid that tomorrow morning is Christmas morning. 4 pm Sunday can’t get here any quicker. I am not looking at the reports that we have some key players hurt, etc etc. This game is so big…such a hated rival…..that it’s going to be a great game. But we will prevail….well, the Eagles team will, but I will be right there with them.
Looking for some smash mouth football….. bring it on. Sure, you Dallas fans have these………
But who has been the team of the 2000's??? How does one say it? Lol Saying the ‘90s is easy…. The 80’s…. but where were the Dallas fans when they were 1 – 15, or 2 – 14????? The Eagles fans…yes, you can say it all you want, that we have no rings. But we have always been there though.
And if you see these numbers tomorrow….. well, think what you want.
GO BIRDS….. there will be dancing in the streets tomorrow….and a big PARTY in Philly come February 2007!!!!!
