And you want to know how Active Rain and Localism help your business? Write good content! Last Monday I received a call from a woman and she asked me some questions regarding homes for sale. We chatted for awhile and I took some information down so I could set her up with auto listings from our MLS site with the criteria she gave me.

I was going to give her my other information when she said it wouldn't be necessary. (WHY?) She then told me she already checked me out and had printed my info from the site she had found my name. (she typed in Real Estate Oahu and my name popped up from Localism!)

She proceeded to tell me that she read a whole bunch of my Localism posts and believed that this was a "sign" to go with this Real Estate Professional! She loved how everyone made nice comments and all had something nice to say about me and she said she really found my posts interesting! Now if that isn't a positive sign that Localism and Active Rain are a good thing!

Well, we made and appointment to meet at the office yesterday morning so I could show them property. (they were already prequalified an hour after we got off the phone on Monday!)

While waiting I started taking pictures of our office, Century 21 Liberty Home. (Danny Smith suggested for me to do something on our office) Sorry, Danny. It's Saturday and no one is here but me!

All of us on the wall and stairs to Broker's and Comptroller.

  More agent desks.

Randy just came in to do floor time (blog)

Oops! They're here! Bye Randy!

They were the most pleasant couple! (they have three children but they didn't come) They loved to joke and laugh and I love that because it sure makes me feel comfortable (Otherwise, I'm the only one laughing...haha)The Mrs. took notes on all the properties we looked at (3 in Mililani and 3 in Makakilo) and she loved the packet I put together. By time we left we had already made an appointment for next Saturday to look at property in one more area. She also said that she will read the info and will call me during the week with questions! Now, they are not only interested in purchasing their first home but very interested in the process and wanting to know exactly what is going on. (following pictures are from Mililani property we looked at so I could show you view of the Range from Mililani)

View from Mililani property to Waianae Range Mountains.

 Close up

So. This just goes to show me and you what good POSITIVE content in your post and the positive comments that transpire from those posts you write are READ by the CONSUMER (the public). So I choose to show my TRUE COLORS through my writing and giving great content.

Thanks, Caleb, Matt, Lydia and all of you that made this possible!

Kat: It is kind of purple huh?

Randy:  Good thing I didn't use the other view picture...it showed who's blog you were on...haha.

Sally~

OK! I should've known you guys would have a PURPLE office! Along with the extraordinarily attractive real estate professionals that seem to hang out in Hawaii, there's always the mountains, oceans and nature to round out the attractive situation...and best of all is the way you share it! THX!

06/24/2007 02:15 PM by Asheville's GREEN Land & Homes ECO-Steward Realty

Kind of purple?    I thought it was purple. LOL       But I like it (and I'm not a big purple person, so-to- speak).  Our office has a listing (I should send it) that is called The Purple Palace.  Funny things we see in this business...  and plenty of things to make us laugh and smile--Thankfully.     Here' s the Purple Pal.

janeAnne: Pretty cool, huh? Extraordinarily real estat pro's...I like that! Thanks for stopping by the office tour!

Kat: Yup! Purple always has something different associated with it. I laugh...and smile..woohoo!

Hey Sally, cool office!  I blog on floor time too. :)~  About the only thing to do.  Congrats on your clients.  Just goes to show what an awesome blog can do!

Sally,

I love hearing about your success, you have done some outstanding localism! BTW, I like it when their laughing too because like you I would be the only one laughing! HAHA LOL! :)

06/24/2007 03:40 PM by Suzanne Sands-Somerset, MA Real Estate (Century 21 Associates Realty)

Steph:  No kidding!  I really enjoy doing those and spend a lot time researching to get something together...amongst using my old memories (that takes some joggling of this mind!) to get something interesting together.

Suzanne: That's embarrassing though.  I don't care...I just keep on laughing and trying to make light of stuff. The only time I couldn't sway the guy...was because he was an alcoholic and kept asking if I'm laughing at him...hahahahah.

Sally, love the purple! Similar color as my bedroom and master bath. Should I show you? <grin>  Anyway, love the photos and the views your new couple would see if they lived there. Wonderful!

Teri: Love the Glitter Lady!  (I personally don't like purple in my home but the office it looks okay...especially at our entry with our shiny sign!)

Sally, love seeing your office, I'll post pictures of mine. Problem is I'm never there ! Seriously, I have an office but prefer to work out of my home office, in my sweats unless I am with clients. Then I wear the professional uniform ! ha !

P.S. I do like those colors !!

Sally -- you do such a wonderful job in showing us the power of localism and what one can achieve.  When things slow down a bit, I am going to work on some localism posts.  I agree that good content is most important.  Thanks for a "view" into your world.  I love purple -- it's my favorite color!

06/24/2007 06:27 PM by Joan Whitebook, ABR, e-Pro, CEBA (Buyer's Option Realty Services)

AWESOME!  I'm so glad you got some nice people from Localism!  You totally deserve them, and they must feel so good knowing they are in good hands.  Wow, your office is, like, purple!  My favorite color.  Between that and all your great pictures in your blog, I'm about ready to pack up the family and have you sell me a house there!  LOL

Great job, Sally. Congratulations. We expect to hear good news in the future - keep us posted. Love the pics.

Nice office. I like the purple and wood floors. I'm also an advocate of modular furniture.

06/24/2007 08:48 PM by Danny Smith (DISCOVER TEXAS HOMES)

How true!  I had a similar response from someone who contacted me through the ActiveRain contact form.  People who are looking for a home are hungry for as much information as they can find, and they appreciate the agent who gives it to them!Margaret Woda, Crofton MD

Missy: Most of my work (real estate) is done at home but I also work for our office entering listings, opening escrow etc. (Admin) So I live the life 24-7! No ifs ands or buts...I have to go in.

Joan: I love the birdie's ...thanks a bunch!

Christina: Got more from on top of the mountain where I was doing an Open today....beautiful ocean views!

Jeff: You sure will! Maybe next Saturday will be the lucky day!

Danny: Everyone likes the purple....anyway, that was just a little thing for you so you could see....while I was waiting for client's.

Margaret: I sure found that out! Especially if they are relocating to another state...they REALLY want to hear about it!

Amazingly enough, I must be used to the purple.  I don't even notice it.

06/25/2007 01:25 AM by Randy L. Prothero - Hawaii REALTOR® (Century 21 Liberty Homes)

Randy: I haven't really noticed it for years until everyone started mentioning it now...lol

Congratulations Sally!  An agent friend of mine also had a client contact her because of her presence on localism and her blogs--Active Rain really is valuable to our business.  Oh, and I love the purple office.  So much more cheery than beige or grey!

Neal:  You guys have got beautiful scenery from what I've see on tv!

Congratulations on your localism posts--that is wonderful news for all of us (and a reminder to use it).  And I love the purple as well, it's an unusual color for an office but I love the way it looks!  Thank you for a great post.

Thesa: I was also waiting for the clients from Localism posts...so decided to do a little thing on the office....and purple must be different...everyone is commenting on it.

Carole: Thank you! Perserverance with good intentions is the key.
