snowy evening in Payson, AZ

Payson (AZ) was predicted to get its first snow last night or today. I LOVE SNOW, AND I CAN'T WAIT!

It rained a little last night at our house, but when we woke up- clear blue sky with not a cloud in sight!

Now it's clouding up again, and the weather report still says chance of snow.

We'll see...

I took this picture last Spring, in our backyard.

Hi Leslie,  As a Michigan transplant I miss the distinct seasonal changes.  I like snowy weather and your pic is a great reminder.

Seasons bring such variety.... my flowers are still blooming... not looking for snow soon!  How's your mom?

Snow in AZ?  Did it arrive?  How much snow do you get?  One of the reasons I stay in New England is for the snow, but if you get snow in Arizona...that could be tempting.

Thanks, Bill. I lived in the desert fo many years, and I LOVE the seasons.

Diane- I would have thought IL was colder than us. My flowers went last night except for winter pansies. Oh, well. My Mom is physically OK, but her mind is slipping more.

Kathryn- we're 5,000 ft elevation, so we're getting cold. Yes, it snowed some all last night. Very little accumulation, though. We get the best of both- enough snow to be pretty, but it goes away before it gets messy! We're cold today, but by Saturday we are supposed to be 70s.

I'm with kathryn, when I think Arizona, I certainly don't think snow.

Hi, Todd. Arizona, like a lot of the western states, has both desert and mountains. Actually, the whole middle of AZ is high enough to have pine trees, cool weather, and a little snow. We're only an hour to an hour and a half from any of the Phoenix area, but we're 5,000 ft elevation.
