I thought that I would add another reminder of the summer that we left behind.  It has snowed here for the past two days, and I should go and take photographs, but it is cold, and I am fighting a chest cold.  So I thought that I would remember warmer times, in some sort of positive thinking to help get past this chest cold.

It is a peony, which is a flower that my parents had in abundance in our yard when I was a child.  To me, they have always meant summer as their beautiful flowers make their entrance (at least here) usually around Memorial Day.

Tony and Darcy,

Do not be jealous...all that statement means is that we are getting soaked here with spring like rains.  The trees would be beautiful if there was some sunshine....

I can't believe your summer is gone already. I feel so sorry for you. LOL. We've been in the high 80s and low 90s this past week, with nights down into the high 50s and low 60s. Hope you're warmer now.

Jim, it has warmed back up for a couple weeks longer, then the cold will set in, I guess that is what we get when we desire to live with the Four Seasons!  I am jealous of San Diego weather, and wish that we could afford to live there!

Ann: I agree that is too much rain.  We are enjoying Indian Summer right now, so I may have been premature in saying that winter is here already.

Monique: I too like Peonies they are among my favorites as well.

Debra: I too can't wait until Spring, not that I am wishing my time away!

Karen: I am feeling much better now, I am glad that it was only a chest cold and not the dreaded flu!

Tom: I agree!

Hope you are on the mend.  We used to have peonies is our old house.  Always crawling with ants.  It's interesting to see how many AR members have had snow already.  Why does everyone think it only snows in Canada???  Nothing here yet.

Jenny, I know that it snows here also, we have had some that is gone now, we're in the midst of gorgeous weather.  I am glad that my chest cold was just that, and that it seems to have moved on!
