I've Got Good News and Bad News

, good for many home buyers, bad for all tax payers!

The $8,000.00 tax credit has been extended! This is good for most agents, some home sellers, and selected lucky home sellers.

On the other hand it's going to cost home sellers that have to compete with subsidies sales.

Then there are today's taxpayers their children, Gand children, their Great Great Grand children, and on an on!

I heard the news. It's unfortunate that some feel the need to artificially stimulate the market for temporary gain.

John,

"It's unfortunate that some feel the need to artificially stimulate the market for temporary gain."  Amen!

However I think the purpose is two fold, to distract us and to buy votes.

I haven't heard it (except for here) are you sure it's a done deal? Many spoke of an extension as far back as February, but from what I saw, most of those doing the talking were in our industry and not on Capital Hill.

Right on Bill. I'm forgainst it myself. If everything was free we'd all pay far more than we do now. A very difficult truth for many to even attempt to comprehend.

Ken,

"forgainst it"  I had to read that twice! It's a good word.

But, I'm a mugwump! I'm against it! I might feel diffrent if I quilfied, but like most of us I only quilify to pay.

Bill

It's now almost 10:30 and I still have only those two reports, Drick may be right.

I was and is against it. It is sensless wasting of people's money. Agents happy with that is sad, not really surprising

Hold the recipies!

Fox may have just saved a crow!

They just said the Senate has agreed to extending the program to April.

No humble pie yet. I still don't know for sure.

Bill,

LOL!  "Hold the recipes..."  Whether it passes or not, I believe it's counter-productive to the goal of a normal robust real estate market.

Bill they haven't extended it yet, but all indications are that, that will happen some time next week.  It has generated business, I just hope the cost is not more than the benefit.

I wish more people would realize that this is going to come at huge cost to us later. This money doesn't magically appear, they are printing money to make this happen and adding to our deficit. This is no different that if we personally took out a credit card and maxed it out, just so we have a big screen television or boat today and then plan to pay for it later when and if we get a raise in the future. (Isn't spending more than we have the reason we are in this mess in the first place?)
