Pat, were you just there? Love that photo, they all just look so busy. But did you notice they are all wearing black? What the heck is going on?

If we ever get to New York this is one of the stops I'd want to make - and Tiffany's too.

Great pic Patricia.  It's not "still life" 'cause everyone is walking around.  And yet . . . freeze frame.  Interesting composition, and I love the lighting, nice!

I've always loved train stations, maybe because when I was a kid, we traveled by train all the time.

Great Pic Pat - when were you there last?  I know you are a real NY girl at heart!

The new York subway system is great. When we are in New York we like to use the subway.  Getting around on the streets is pretty tough.

Lou, it's always full of lots of people on the go!

Yvette and Dennis, it's a wonderful place to visit.

Andrea, I did notice the mostly dark suits when I took the picture.  It's a New York thing.

Lee and Carol, ok, Tiffany's trumps Grand Central any day!

Silvia, I traveled by train a lot when I lived in New York.  These days, when I go there, I take the Vamoose Bus!

And Carla, thanks!

Look at all the hustle and bustle.  Can you believe I've never been to a train station before?

Sincerely,

Kathleen

Paat - Grand Central is an amazing place. Of course it is smack dab in the middle of an amazing place. With two levels of trains, there is a hustle and bustle unlike most other cities I have been in.

I've never been to New York, Patricia (or DC for that matter).  I've only seen Grand Central Station in pictures.  Yours looks like a postcard.

Pat, I love Union station. Thanks for the reminder. I have a whole bunch of wonderful photos from Union Station. Think this would be an awesome place for an AR get together.

Pat,

This is a great place to photograph, but where is everyone? Seems kind of empty. :)

Patricia,

There are no words, so first time I read the disclaimer, and I think this is a good one. And this is a nice photo.

The constant motion of the travelers has an energy of its own.

Clearly it's not rush hour.  Not sure I have ever been there myself.

Aloha & best wishes.

Pat, What is it about New York City?  It truly isn't like any other place on earth.  Love it.  And Grand Central tells such stories.  Great photo.

Oh boy, oh boy, Grand Central Station.  I love this place, even though it almost always looks like that, it is so beautiful.  But, I have to admit, I was looking for that tell-tale you-tube play button, cause I though (hoped) we were about to be treated to a Flash Mob!  Thriller, anyone?
