NOW! I write this entry in the early Winter of 2009. Currently we are facing a weakende economy with many people all over our great state of Maryland facing possible foreclosures.
PRICES are hitting the floor.
I forsee another two years of falling prices, or a year at the least. The fact of the matter is, homes are CURRENTLY very affordable in certain areas (as little as HALF of their 2005 values!) The deals are out there. The weather is getting colder, and as fewer and fewer buyers are hunting the housing market, the numbers of anxious sellers grow rapidly.
In the past 12 months I cant count on one HAND how many offers I have submitted for 20, 30 even 40% below the asking price that have gone to settlement.
Now is the time to look for a great deal. It is out there.
