Havin' lived in the south all my life, I know that southern folks are dif-runt. That's jus' the way is an' some folks jus' ain't a-gonna change.

Now jus' when my tired 'ol eyeballz thought that they'd seen it all some brilliant sole came up with this novel way of installin' one of those new fanguled satti-lite antenna thing-a-ma-jabbers.

Hellz-Bellz, they musta got plum tuckered out carrin' those diggers from the shed ☺☺☺

That's awesome - If they were local I have an old sat. dish - DirectTV doesn't come get them when you cancel their service. Must be 100's out there.

So that's how u git the NFL tikit . This is classic and one I will be forwarding to my football bretheren.

The most used tool in the world.....DUCT TAPE, and 2nd place runner up....post hole digger! You should send this to Jeff Foxworthy!

gotta love it...dcut tape strikes again! NOthing it won't cure/fix, right?

Oh I'm loving this contraption - we keep a log of all the weird stuff we find and use them on Friday Funnies. It's a first for seeing this make and model - lol! I'm still laughing. I must show this to my husband the direct tv king.

He's just an artist who uses old things to make something new ... (I didn't mean you when I mentioned old things... ha ha!).

Y'all are too funny! Even though I was born in the northeast, I have swampwater in my veins - both parents from the south, so I can appreciate southeren ingenuity. My Uncle Possum had an old hand crank washtub that he lined with bottlecaps. When he was fixin to have a fish fry, all the days catch went into the tub to be scaled!!! Yumm!

Well now! I sho like da way you done gone and put dat!

Wow - that's a first, who would have thought to do that? I bet you see all kinds of interesting "do-it-yourself" repair jobs in your line of work. They should get points for creativity on that one :)

Don't keep that to yerself down there in the south, that is the PURFUCT solution to the whole watchin TV while it's snowin outside. How handy and convenient! You can move it all round the yard to improve reception!

Before duct tape became so handy we always carried bailing wire and rubber tubing. That will fix anything.

As a Kentucky boy, it looks good to me!

Means the homeowners will be able to catch all of the action when the south (SEC!) wins another NCAA football championship this year.... :-)

It looks to me like those are bran new diggers, and they came straight from the store, not the shed.

That was a satellite? Where was the dish? Newfangled jobbers. When we were country folk, our dish could get in PLUTO.

Mike, you actually get reception with this configuration?? I wonder if this technique is described in some how to guide, or were they just "improvising?"

Michael, I have to admit. I would rather use that tool for the purpose that it was used for in the photo much more than it's real use.

Well, one thing you can say about 'ol Bubba... he sore do know how ta get 'er done.

Maybe he's gonna use it for a rose trellis so that the nice folks at Direct TV don't catch him hijacking their signal. Did you see the garden hose he had hooked to the neighbor's spigot so he could run his outdoor shower and water his lawn?

Too funny....Amusing for sure.
