Not many people know this, but…….

Greg, Brad and Jason

Before Greg Nino became the renowned Houston area Realtor that he is…...

Before Brad Andersohn became the ActiveRain guru that he is…..

Before Jason Crouch became the King of all things Real Estate……

They were the original Bee Gees!

That’s right folks!

They were the original Bee Gees!

Before there was ActiveRain, there was the Bee Gees!

Apparently, and forgive me here, but the story is a tad fuzzy as there is very little documentation on this topic, Greg and Jason met while singing at a karaoke bar somewhere in between their respective home towns of Houston and Austin, Texas.

They immediately clicked and formed a short lived, albeit moderately successful duet, the...

“Oh Jeez”!!!

After a few months of performing at dingy night clubs and highway rest stops, the Oh Jeez realized that something was missing…And then it happened...

Would you like paper or plastic, ma'am?!!!Brad Andersohn was bagging groceries at the local Piggly Wiggly when the Oh Jeez came in to do their weekly shopping. The two heard Brad singing while making sure their eggs were carefully bagged so as not to break.

The missing piece was found!

Brad decided to give up on his lifelong dream of perfecting the, “Would you like paper or plastic, ma’am?” line, and the Bee Gees were formed!

Perhaps they needed someone to sing those high notes! Perhaps they needed someone with big hair! Perhaps he just looked good in those 70’s outfits the group wore! But, whatever the reason, the newly formed trio set out to make a life of music.

And, the rest, as they say, is history!

Craig,

It is a comfort to recognize that I am not the only over-caffeinated agent in Cary this morning!

Thanks for the laugh!

Wow, I never knew!  What an honor it is to have the original Bee Gees here with us on Active Rain :o)!!  Careful, there may be some young ones who aren't too sure of who the Bee Gees are.  Perhaps a little clip from the ole MP3 player would be educational :o)!

Craig - The Bee Gees are wrong to begin with but this is so wrong in so many ways!  At least you didn't stoop as low as to call them Wham or Air Supply!

I loved the Saturday Night Fever soundtrack and danced to the Hustle as much as possible back then! Thanks for the memories Craig...oh! and a mighty righteous tribute to the Brothers 3!

Cheryl - I don't mind being wrong if wrong made you laugh!

Mike - Ahhh. the juice of jump! The elixir of energy! The nectar of nervosa! I do love a cup of coffee in the morning!

Susan - Have you read these guys blogs? I'm running scared about the payback now!!!

Russell - Russell, some people watch TV to relax. Some people read. I Photoshop! this one took a little longer than most...Greg's hair wouldn't cooperate!!!

Brenda - I considered helping out the young-uns by putting a video clip of the Bee Gees on here. But I couldn't bring myself to listen to any of them in an effort to find a good one!!!

Linda - There's never a dreary day in Cary! So glad you enjoyed! Remember, I promised to do my best to insure you never regretted subscribing to my blog!

Caren - Perhaps an impromptu reunion at one of those highway rest stops would bring the boys back for one last performance!!

Nevin - EWWWWW! Thanks for forever linking my blog with Air Supply and Wham!!! My "Nevin Williams is Really Boy George" post is now closer than you think my friend!!!

Wanda - Wanda, Wanda, Wanda. You know how much I respect you my friend. So, before I passed judgement about your love for the Bee Gees, I ran this singing and dancing revelation through the Respect-O-Meter. You had it peaked out at "God-like Superhero Respect" but as you can see, it's dropped off a little bit!!!! But don't worry, I still luvs ya!

R-E-S-P-E-C-T. Find out what it means to me!!!

Charles - I do beleive there are some contractual differences to iron out first. Apparently Greg thinks he's entitled to an equal share of the profits!

Hi Craig:

I just knew that they looked familiar but couldn't put my finger on it.

How about that...who knew!

I would have thought that Jason's "thumb up" reputation, started back then..but I guess not...

Debi - It's all part of the service I provide to my people! And about that LMBO remark....You pick that "B" right back up and put it where it belongs. This is a family blog!!!!

Toula - Sometimes we all just need a little memory jog from time to time. With respect to that "thumbs up" comment you made.....I'm not even going there!!!

Hi Craig, You always find the most interesting facts.  I never knew the history of the BeeGees! LOL!! I agree with you, might be a little painful to find a You-tube video.. HAHAHA!  I had to scroll back up to the photo -- Definitely a 10 on the laugh-o-meter, Craig!!!

Mary - It's amazing the things you can find on the internet! This little factoid might have gone unnoticed had I not uncovered it! Glad my post registered a 10 on the Laugh-O-Meter!!!

Carole - If I made you laugh, then my work is done for the day! And, of course, only you guys have the power to make it a feature. The little red flag under the comment total above gets the job done!

Craig,

Are you sure you aren't and old a comic writer for SNL back in the day, or maybe a comic strip write.  I didn't know the history of the BEE GEEs, glad to see retirement is giving them a second wind. I sure danced to alot of thier songs, I think the tight polyester pants was their secret to high notes.  We're just "Stayin alive"

As far as you dancing to the Bee Gees see my comment above to Wanda!!! (comment #12 for those of you keeping score at home!) The same feelings apply!

Craig - You are only missing one piece of the story.  For awhile after we added Brad to the band, we were briefly known as "CAN Do", using the initials of our last names and playing off of our amazing hair styles.  As you can tell from the picture of the three of us from the early days, I'm not only the president of the Hair Club for Men, I'm also a member!

Jason - Brilliant! The CAN Do's! I love the origin of the name! And I thought coming up with the Oh Jeez was brilliant...But yours wins that prize! By the way, Sy Sperling called. He thinks you've been "spraying" and you've been impeached...He found this in your medicine cabinet....Oh the shame of it all! Such a promising political career cut short in controversy!!!

The hair club for men does not approve of this!!!

Michael - It's the age old question. Plastic recycles, but takes fossil fuels to produce. Paper recycles too, but relies on cutting down trees to make.

What to do. What to do.

Craig, I'm the 33 comment so I want to tell you I didn't read any of the prior comments...Really who has that kind of time. The Three Amigos look like there is a genetic Blood link, I'll say it...brothers. Same wit...Same hair to forehead ratio...its uncanny. There is a lab producing Superior real estate professionals...and it has to be stopped. Sorry I really shouldn't have a second scotch and comment on blogs.

Steve - Same forehead ratio! Now that's funny stuff! This lab you refer to must be closed down immediately! Look what it's doing to our profession! Oh, and about that 2nd scotch blog commenting addiction you're suffering from, if you did read some of the comments before you, you'd see that most of my subscribers suffer from that same affliction! By the way, thank you for subscribing! I'll do my best to insure you never regret that decision....or need rehab as a result!!!

Dear Craig,
