In addition to Halloween being celebrated this Saturday night, it is also important to remember to turn those clocks back one hour.  We certainly don't want to miss out on the gift of an extra hour of sleep which happens just once a year when we fall back.  So ditch daylight savings time late Saturday night or early Sunday Morning, at the beginning of the approaching Winter months.

Thanks for the reminder. Had not realized that the switch happened over Halloween weekend. This also means one extra hour of revelry.

Hi Myrl:

The only good thing is that we get an extra hour of sleep.

I would prefer to keep the time as is...oh well!!!

In Indiana we just started back to doing this. I will enjoy the extra hour.

We don't change time here in AZ.  I guess it's time for me to re-post the funny post about why!

I'm sleeping in on Sunday and not going to worry about the time change until I get up.

Hi Myrl,

Thank you for the reminder. I need all the beauty sleep I can get so it is always a most welcome time of the year!

I wish we had standard time all year long. There is really no reason to have daylight savings time now that we have electricity. But I'd rather fall back in time than go forward and lose an hour of sleep! Reverting to standard time is almost worse than power outage because I still have to change all the clocks in the house and reset the timers for my outside lights. Grumble, grumble . . .

Art and James - You're very welcome!  I missed an important meeting once when we switched ahead in Spring time.  I've calendared the event since:-)

Toula - I'm with you!  I like the idea of an extra hour of sleep, but hate ending the work day in darkness.

Tony - I hadn't realized that about Indiana.

Kathy - I have an extra laptop around that runs XP and it doesn't automatically update for time changes correctly either.  But I have two atomic clocks in the house, and they are right on the money.

Sharon - You're very welcome.

Carole - I'm with you, I enjoy the longer summer days.

Anna - I'm anxious for you to tell us why Arizona doesn't change:-)

Terry - What ever works best for you:-)

Steve - I can understand that beauty sleep thing. . .And it becomes more important each year:-)

Elizabeth - I don't like the time change either. . .But I wish we had daylight saving time year round.  I like the extra light in the evening.

Jennifer - Can you believe I'm going to be up at 5:30 am tomorrow, because of something I need to do. . .But at least on the old clock, it still would have been an hour earlier:-)
