The saying goes: "spring a head fall back. " Yes on November 1, 2009 at 2:00 AM it will be time once again to set the clocks back one hour.  Caution, only in States where Daylight Saving Time is observed.

This is also a good time to make various preparation to deal with the winter weather and to check out safety devices to make sure they are in working order.

Since we never seem to have enough time it will be great to have an extra hour if just for one day.

I don't think many of us wait for 2:00 am to set the clock back, usually you will do this before going to bed.  If you have several clocks in the house make sure to change them all.  One yearr I did not do this and woke up in a panic because I thought I was late for an appointment.

Hi Jennifer...I'll take one more hour in bed.  I'll try to think of something productive to do once I get up.

we scurried around last Sat night to set our clocks back 'cause a family member told us it was time to do so.  something was just not right on Sun morning.  we checked.........and sure enough, we shouldn't have set the clocks back.

so.........we called our son-in-law...........he just KNEW he saw it on the calendar...........and he did!  For EUROPE!!!!

I am so ready!

Hi Jennifer,

Loved those photos! And I'm looking forward to the extra hr. of sleep myself, it would also be nice to see it lighter in the a.m.

Btw, read Chris' comment about, when we were on vacation recently in Australia, they changed their clocks back then. Not sure if prior to our Congresss extending our time, if globally we were all making the changes at the same time?

Lynda - Thank you.  Enjoy that hour, it only happens once a year :)

Charles you are very welcomed.

Bob & Carolin - So you won't have an extra hour this Suday.  Then again you won't have to change your clocks but the safety tips still applies.

Rich - Enjoy

I had completely forgotten this! Thanks for the reminder! Although I really wish we were like Arizona, and didn't have to do it. Just drives me nuts when it's dark so early....

Clever and beautiful slideshow, too!

Jennifer, that's a great slide show, and very creative .,. I love the fall colors.  Changing the clock does throw us off a bit.  This morning at 6:00 a.m. the dogs knew that it was their 7 a.m. feeding time ,.. pretty smart, aren't they, or just hungry.
